Book this stay for my parents who were traveling through. They said it was perfect for them and their visit to Nauvoo! The room they booked did not have warm water in the shower. However, once they notified staff, they were quickly moved to a much larger room complimentary and they were very happy with those accommodations.

    My hometown looks like it is doing better now. Fm has beautiful parks and the Mississippi River front is improving. Wish they would keep the old fort replica or perhaps move it to a location that doesn’t flood

    We were only in Ft.

    We were only in Ft. Madison to sleep after visiting Nauvoo, IL so I can't really say much about it. Be aware that there's a bridge to get to Ft. Madison from IL but it costs $3.00 to cross in that direction right now. That can at times be reversed with the toll being collected in the other direction. Since our Google maps is set to avoid toll roads it took us from Nauvoo through Keokuk, IA which took us 45 minutes to get to the hotel. The toll bridge would have only taken about 20 minutes. We were unaware of this until the next day. We wondered why it came up in the search as being close to Nauvoo with it being 45 minutes away, now we know.
