Gila Bend is pretty sad.
Gila Bend is pretty sad. There isn't much there and it's fairly seedy overall. Better to stay in Buckeye. There is a rundown but good Italian place in town and you can get good tacos at taco tri.

A great little stop whilst travelling from Arizona to California. The rooms were nice a big and served its purpose. It was the perfect American motel in a small town and I loved it! Rooms were a little dusty but that did not worry me too much. Great toiletries and good bathroom.
Close to a great Italian restaurant which was a five minute walk. Just on the freeway as well so a perfect stop.

The room was absolutely perfect for me.
The room was absolutely perfect for me. It was just a stopover on a long trip, not a destination. I was surprised to find how few rooms there were, but very happy to know that there was only one floor so no one above me.

Great for an overnight stop on the long journey between San Diego and Flagstaff. Hotel was clean comfortable with a good shower. There are restaurants nearby. Staff were very friendly and efficient.
Great little budget motel. Helpful guy at the checkin. Felt safe and clean. We were pulling a uhaul trailer and felt safe with it in the parking area right outside our room. Full fridge. Usually stay in Tucson on our trips toward San Diego but will definitely drive the extra hour and stay here again. Better value and weve had some sketchy experiences with the low tier hotels in Tucson...think La Quinta, Country Inn, etc.
The breakfast was perfect, just what we needed to get a good start on our day. So much more convenient to have it right there rather than to have to drive around to find someplace to eat. As a matter of fact, when we passed through again that evening on our way somewhere else, we specifically stopped and ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
I did not eat the breakfast, since I do not eat carbs. But the coffee was actually very good. The Wait staff was also very friendly and accommodating. I felt safe in the hotel. And I slept well . Will be back, because it gives me a break during my travel. For the price that I paid, I was totally satisfied.
Thank You
It was just off the highway 8 and just a mile away from highway 85. The Space Age diner was in town only fair food but the Gila Bend Cafe had really big and good chicken wings. Buckeye was north on the 85 about 35 miles away. I lived in Buckeye a few years ago and have friends there, whom I visited over Christmas.
Friendly and very helpful staff, fast check-in, excellent location. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms are well lit, all electrics worked, great shower, very clean bathroom. I will certainly use this hotel again iftrave;;ing between Tucson and Yuma.
totally disappointed!
pool chairs were all broken and in piles in the corner of pool!!!
room smelled liked cleaning products!
guys partying outside our room by the pool until 11pm!
very unhappy with my choice!!
much better motels in Gila bend proper
Whilst the location, being a little way out of Gila Bend, may seem a problem, reality is that Gila Bend is not somewhere I would like to stay. Eat your eve meal in Gila Bend THEN travel to this place.
Staff are nice.
Rooms were clean.
Spent the night in Gila Bend after a visit in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. Great place for an overnight; friendly staff and nice pool. Got vouchers for a breakfast at the adjacent Space Age Restaurant. Ace!
Fun little hotel. The rooms are OK. The restaurant next-door had good food personality of the waitress needed help. had a really nice pool and Jacuzzi.
