Not a great location for exploring the area. Everything we were most interested in doing (hiking, waterfalls, state/national parks) was at least an hour's drive. Not much in the way of dining options, no nearby markets or supermarkets.

thoughtful gift basket and detailed welcome binder provided endless opportunities for exploration. The kayaks and paddle board made for enjoyable afternoons on the lake. Breathing the fresh mountain air, basking in the sun and hiking with our pooch made this a memorable and spectacular vacation escape.

This place is only good for a stopover, if really needed.
This place is only good for a stopover, if really needed. The closest attractions are Lake Shasta: the dam and the caverns, but folks are better off staying at Redding. This place has very limited food and services.
