It is a small town with a cool beach & lighthouse! Great place to stop in for a night along your travel around Lake Michigan or before heading up to Lake Superior or further into the Upper Peninsula.

Centrally located for attractions we wanted to see in 2-3 days. Nearby restaurants do not offer much nutrition or specialty diet needs, so we will remember to bring much of our own foods in the future.

I went primarily to visit the Seney National Wildlife Refuge which is terrific. But there are many other outstanding attractions close by, something for everyone depending on what you are interested in.

The area is beautiful. The water so clear and clean.
The area is beautiful. The water so clear and clean. Enjoyed visiting the nearby lighthouses and museums. Big Springs was amazing and peaceful. Kitch iti Kipi …go see it. We took a drive and found Fayette Historic State Park. Wow was that neat. A town practically preserved and abandoned. We did not get to view everything …need at least 1 day. So worth the drive to do more exploring of it.

Very clean, very comfortable, and incredibly gracious and pleasant hosts!! The motel is nearby the Manistique boardwalk on Lk Michigan, which is a great place to exercise. The motel’s location within the UP was also very convenient; we were able to easily travel to Munising, Marquette, Seney, Newberry, Paradise, etc. and make it back to the room in the evening at a reasonable time. The motel is also very close to Kitch Iti Kipi (one of the Seven Wonders of the UP), which was the icing on the cake for us!!!
The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and in a safe location. There was popcorn and lemon water in the lobby area in the evening, and coffee/tea available 24 hours. It was close to a Big Boy Restaurant that had a good hot and cold buffet. There was a "Big Boy" moose outside the restaurant, dressed in red and white checked overalls, just like the Big Boy himself. Very cute! Also, the hotel was located near the Manistique Boardwalk area, which was easy to walk after a long day on the road.
The breakfast was the one of the best of all of the hotels that we have been to in recent weeks. The 24 hour popcorn was wonderful for a nightline snack with our grandchildren while watching a bedtime program. There was a piano and my grandchildren played to get practice while guests were having breakfast. The guests seem to really enjoy the music. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. Our stay was very enjoyable.
The owners were great, great hospitality and we had a nice time meeting them. Nice fireplace in front of the hotel to finish your evening/day with. The rooms are clean and everything you need! coffee and granola bars in the morning to start the day with, I would really recommend this place.
The front desk ladies were great! Very welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean along with the hotel itself. We enjoyed the popcorn and the breakfast. Big boy next door was an added bonus.
Everything was perfect! I don’t really have a standard when it comes to hotels, however this one was so nice and friendly that I feel like it set my standards high from here on out!
I liked that the hotel was centrally located in town and it was easy to reach any restaurant or business I needed to go to. I also liked the staff they were friendly and helpful.
