The swipes for the credit card wasn’t working and they were kind enough to waive our extras fees as a result. Very nice people working there!

Win Schulers restaurant in Marshall has been voted the best restaurant in Michigan 26 years in a row! The food is outstanding, although the prices are not cheap. I got a shave and a haircut at Palmer's Barber Shop in downtown Marshall for only $26. The cost of the same thing in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where I live, is $80!! I went to Firekeeper's Casino several times and made enough money playing blackjack to cover the cost of my trip.

Halloween arts & crafts show at the fairgrounds was GREAT! Almost missed it.
There should have been more information about that event available in the downtown area.

Marshall has numerous good restaurants to dine at as well as a Norman Rockwall feel to the downtown area. If you ever saw the old Christmas classic, "It's a Wonderful Life", Marshall resembles Bedford Falls. And most likely there will be snow for Christmas!

We stayed in Marshall (at the Holiday INN) but we did not go into Marshall on this trip. This was a stop over between, a show/dinner at Turkeyville and then traveling to Shipshewana, IND. for some shows.
It is an old fashioned truck stop motel, leave high expectations at home. Bedding was clean, no bugs observed. Roof was being replaced during our stay, nice about the upkeep but we weren't warned about the noise. Refrigerator worked. Little swamp area was maintained but no wildlife noted- it is right on the highway.
The location is great to the proximity to the new Ford battery plant construction. Breakfast was plentiful and appealing. Parking lot and entrance were well lit (women traveling alone notice that). Especially located in the same parking lot with Holiday Inn Express, it was lit with blue lights ( too dark ).
Hotel was clean. Staff was nice. Check in a breeze. Beds were comfortable. Decor updated not too long ago. Quiet. Great location to casino and half the price of casino hotel. Denny's and gas station/convenience store right next door. Ample parking. Will stay again.
This place was so neat! The hay loft is beautiful and the host truly thinks of everything you might need! My daughter absolutely loved the mini horses and collecting eggs. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!
Christie in the breakfast area was so helpful and nice. She keeps the area clean and stocked. Mr Ramos was very professional and helped us get a room on the level for handicapped person. Awesome stay !
Quick getting ahold of someone for after hours, lighting in room better than a different hotel we paid more at. Easy checkout next morning. Nice size fridge, able to eat in room.
That is was greatly priced for how clean and comfortable it was especially compared to other hotels and the staff was very friendly helpful and very understanding
