We stayed in Rutland for two nights, before and after the total eclipse of the sun. Many hotels in the vicinity of Plattsburgh, New York {where we viewed the eclipse} had been booked many months in advance, and many had greatly increased their prices for dates near this event. The Comfort Inn had a decent breakfast that was included.
Located in Killington, this hotel is within a 1.2 mi radius of restaurants and within 4.3 mi of ski areas. Guests are offered discounted elevator tickets to the nearby Killington Ski Resort.

Friendly staff! Huge space to relax, play games, pool table, hot tub, fireplaces, very nice space indoors and outdoors, good Irish bar downstairs with excellent food. Clean bathrooms, sheets.

The daytime gentleman at the front desk of the property was very helpful and very friendly. He answered my questions on the telephone before my arrival and patiently offered his assistance during the check-in procedure. He explained the $150 deposit and assured me that it would be "released" by Thursday of the next week following the weekend stay. This has not transpired yet (as this review was requested on Monday), and I am going on faith that this promise will be kept. I left the property in immaculate condition and provided the staff with a reasonable tip in the provided envelope in the room. Crossing my fingers that the required deposit in addition to the accommodation fee will be released and that my card will not be charged in addition to the prepaid room fee. The people in the main office were also very accommodating - returning an email and a telephone call prior to the stay.
The area is in the middle of a lot of attractions.
The area is in the middle of a lot of attractions. You have Skiing for winter along with other winter activities. Change to summer and there is fishing, canoeing on the lakes, water parks golfing all in the immediate area. The city of Rutland has a lot to offer, including the Norman Rockwell museum. I always like coming back to this area and plan to do it again soon..

We actually went to support a friend in the Halloween parade in Rutland Vt. and only stayed overnight . But long enough to realize that the view is lovely in this countryside .
Will definitely be going back at some point , but not at that motel .
Clean and comfortable and a very homely feel while providing the right level of independence. plus proximity to Killington ski area is a high plus. And the management is amazing plus the continental breakfast is fabulous !
The location was perfect for my race at Killington and the price was very affordable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was cozy and quiet and everything for the most part seemed clean.
