I didn't liked this hotel because it's not worth for the money you spend. Staffs are nice but the building structure and room is not good. The facilities are less. The renovation works really disturbed

There are great museums, restaurants and other sites to see in New Haven, Modern and Zuppardi's are my favorite pizza places. I would avoid the "famous" spots in Wooster area -- the founders are gone and the kids don't know how to make pizza. However, I would not stay in the city. Ugly traffic and construction and you would have to park in a off street facility. Better to stay outside in the many suburbs and also less expensive. Pictures below are from Cafe Fiore in Branford -- great food.

Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven.
Can't say enough wonderful things about New Haven. A lovely town to enjoy for a long weekend. Simply walking the campus at Yale can soothe your soul. Great eateries and shops, fun historical landmarks, special cultural treats from museums to architecture.
You MUST go to Louis Lunch, home of the first hamburger. Milkcraft makes icecream in front of your eyes with liquid nitrogen. Several bookstore/coffeeshop options.
The Group W Bench will appeal to your inner hippie. Plenty of museums to enjoy.
Don't forget to ask for a room with a view of campus when you stay at The Study.

We came to area for daughter college graduation, had her car parked in parking lot under a street light and it was stolen. Apparently the hotel camera didn’t cover the parking lot !!!!! We understand it isn’t the hotel’s fault someone would steal a car from their parking lot, but security is not a top priority at this location!!

- no restaurant (although on booking.com lunch and dinner option was offered). Check carefully your invoice - room, parking and breakfast! Check your credit card regarding holds! if not you might end up paying a lot more that initially booked via booking.com

Trip from Hell:
Trip from Hell:
My flight was cancelled (United Airline) very poor service and worst customer service I have ever encountered. had to finally book another airline. So, I send a message to inform the hotel that I would only be arriving a day late. When I finally arrived the reception clerk informed me that my booking had been cancelled and he couldn't find it in the system. he told me to step aside very rudely. His senior finally came to help him. And miraculously they both found my book. I then presented my credit card which was declined. And he informed me loudly that it had been declined, I gave him another card it was declined again. My daughter (leaves in the USA) gave him her card, gain it was declined. So, I called my bank in South Africa. Who quickly informed me to tell the clerk to stop tapping Rand 35 000. Due to fraud, you can only tap Rands only 250. Note not fraud in South Africa but global!!! The clerk informed me that all the cards he is used to in the USA accepted Tapping!!! i told him the world has changed not everyone/VISITERS come from America. The world is now global!!!!
Clean and spacious apartment. Well furnished and fully stacked with all appliances including a washer and dryer. The price is competitive vs booking a hotel but should not increase further.
The staff communication was excellent. We wanted to check in earlier and Tatenda was able to secure a spot for us before the 3 pm check in time. This was a super helpful cause we were international travellers with over 15 hours of flight time. The cleaning staff was also amazing. The room and bathroom were spotless.
Apartment is the ground floor of a large two-family house on a quiet street in New Haven. Location was very good, with a short drive (or walk) into town. There was plenty of room, the place was spotless, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook your own meals. The homeowner provided parking permits, so we could park for free right in front of the house.
Beautiful hotel, staff were extremely pleasant! We loved our room! The mirror was SO cool and the bed was very comfy. Very quiet as well! Also we were out late and I was waiting by the doors for my boyfriend to come in and the staff checked on me to make sure I was okay. Which was so nice!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The check-in process was smooth and hosts were really responsive. Kitchen was well-stocked and the place was exceptionally clean with very comfortable beds. The location is great with close to all key spots in New Haven. We will definitely return in future.
The hotel itself is stunning and that made my stay an experience rather than simply a one night stopover.
The staff were exceptionally engaging and genuine - it didn’t feel as though they were going through the motions. We had some lovely conversations and interactions.
The location is close to the highway, and a 30 minute walk or 6 minute drive from New Haven downtown. Breakfast was included and fine. Nothing to write home about, but good enough for a filling meal.
The deluxe queen room was huge for a hotel room.
The Blake is a really lovely hotel with well appointed rooms and an extremely attentive staff. We have now stayed here on many occasions and it truly is our “go to” in New Haven.
The location is great, walking distance to Yale and the museums.
An excellent option: clean, comfortable, well equipped... The room had a mini-fridge and a coffee maker, which are always nice additions to a room. The staff was kind and helpful. The reception area and the bar were elegantly decorated.
The location was good in a quiet residential area. All the bedding and furniture was new and good high quality and comfortable.Everything was there in kitchen and bathroom. The host Brian was very much reachable and helpful all times.
Very central location for exploring new haven/Yale. Reception were really helpful with great tips for restaurants or day trips. Lobby/cafe area nice to hang out in and explore with lots of artifacts and books
I didn't stay the night because the girl in the room next to mine was talking on her phone for @ 2-hours while dropping F-bomb after F-bomb.
I ended up leaving a getting a hotel room instead.
The location was ideal for downtown New Haven - walking distance to good restaurants and shopping together with Yale university. The room had a good sized bathroom, with fridge.
