No restaurants but an excellent local grocery store. No events. I can't understand why anyone would plan a trip to this town. Really. I didn't know better. Overall, maybe 10% nice homes, 30% ragged, a bunch OK. Lots of trashy yards. Kudos for a sidewalk from town to the 93 service station. My recommendation for those on their way to Cathedral George - plan on 1-2 hours there and continue on to find a town that offers more than a single overpriced BnB.CurtUnited States of America - 8.0Scored 8.0

Honestly we didn’t do anything in the town and there are no restaurants (except 15min away). But Cathedral Gorge was wayyyy more amazing than we were expecting and needed more time there. We can’t wait to go back!

Small town closest to Cathedral Gorge State Park. This park is truly a gem and is worth a visit to see the wonderful geological formations. There are several easy trails that offer good hiking opportunities with potential for landscape photography. Staying at Panaca makes visiting Cathedral Gorge a breeze. Just be warned that there aren’t too many facilities such as restaurants and shops in Panaca!RaghuveerUnited States of America
