Off the beaten track....just a little...but enough to feel like you were in the middle of a mountain wonderland. The town has a really great ambiance and there was a country store that served lunch (JJ Hargoods) that was so fresh and delicious!

Peru was a nice peaceful town.
Peru was a nice peaceful town. Bromley Mountain was great for my seven year old. Our favorite area was in Dorset at the Emerald State Park Lake. Manchester was a nice town with lots of shops, restaurants and activities.
I liked the “vintage” nature of the place. It felt like a ski lodge from the eighties… with paint colors, fixtures and common areas all channeling a precious era. Surprisingly, the rooms were very clean, the beds very comfortable and modern, and the a/c worked well. We had a beautiful view off the 2-chair balcony over the valley and sunrise in the distance. Really friendly staff (Rob) at check-in. He referred us to Johnny Seesaw’s restaurant nearby… visit-worthy in itself.
The location for what we were doing (hiking the Long Trail) was perfect, just 1.7 miles away. The staff were all very nice. Margaret even drove us to the trailhead in the morning in her own car! Rob, the evening mgr was also very nice and fun to talk to. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. There was a nice balcony but because of the rain that day we were not able to fully enjoy it. The Lodge at Bromley would be a great place to stay anytime of year.
The Staff was extremely friendly and informative.
The Fireworks on Bromley Mtn. were great and also the torchbearers. The band during the day and night for the fireworks at the Wild Boar bar/restaurant at the base ski lodge, was great.
The mountain was nicely groomed with the addition of snow covering over some frozen areas.
The main lodge of the hotel had a nice fireplace, couch seating and board game areas. The free breakfast was also good!
Building is dated, but rooms are exceptionally clean and staff is fantastic. Best hotel bed I ever slept in, and I travel a lot (10 days or mor per month). Quiet, safe and views are amazing.
