The place is out of date for sure. Building looks a bit run down. There are not many electrical outlets in the room and the 2 lamps over the beds didn’t work. There was a stand up lamp in the corner not plugged in due to no outlet. The location is good, but I would not stay here again. They had 2 wrapped muffins and a granola bar in bags for breakfast to grab and go.

Overall, the stay in the room was nice. The breakfast was very good the whole facility I did like it. We only went for one day so I didn’t experience the pool or anything else.

I grew up going on family vacations to Pismo Beach so I am biased. Probably the best kept secret of the California coast. Beautiful wide beaches, great restaurants, wine country a 10 minute drive from the beach and lots of other cute little coastal towns to explore for a day trip. You could spend all week laying on the beach or going someplace new every day. And nothing beats a Pismo Sunset!

Pismo Beach was nice, but the Edgewater hotel was too crowded, the parking was really crammed, and the area looked a little scary. I thought it would be nicer. The bed was very lumpy and lopsided and uncomfortable.
If things go wrong and you don’t arrive early enough and miss most of your first night, don’t expect any niceness from the hotel staff and getting a late check out like you would at other hotels. They do not care!

North Pismo Beach, including Shell Beach Cove area, and Avila Beach (just north of Pismo) are very nice for walking and sightseeing. Avila Beach has a very long interesting history. Downtown Pismo traffic was bad and the old town area might seem "funky" classic beach to some.

Love the beach and pier, small downtown with shops, easy access from highway.
It's also 10-15 minutes from Avila Beach, Madonna Inn, and San Luis Obispo. It's 50 minutes from Solvang. Paso Robles (with Sensorio) are also pretty close. Morro Bay and Montana de Oro park with cool hikes are around 40 minutes away. It's just a great location to get some beach views and explore the area.

This is a charming little town with lots of shops and restaurants right at the beach. I'd say that there's enough to do downtown in one day, and then another day you can explore explore nearby. a weekend is perfect.
Because we stayed at the Pismo Beach hotel. We would go out how breakfast at the cafe. Right next door walk around and look at the shops. Go to the beach, call my quebec to the hotel rest and then go back out to try one of the restaurants..

We booked the hotel last minute as we were not sure where we would be on our California road trip!
This hotel was a great find, I read the excellent reviews and thought will book and we were not disappointed!
The rooms were accessible from the carpark, cosy, homely and they thought of everything. Nice coffee, little complimentary touches, makeup station, comfortable bed, fridge, popcorn for film watching!
Hotel is so convenient to Pismo beach and getting back on the road.
Well done, a great stay!
The free yummy breakfast, the staff was helpful , the beautiful view, the clean pool towels that were ready to use, next to the warm pool/ jacuzzi, downtown pismo and the pier near thr hotel, the clean bedrooms the brunch buffet next to the hotel. Mu second time at shorecliff hotel and will be back again when in town! And will recommend it to friends and family. My friend who went with me was instantly thinking about coming back with her husband to the same location and hotel.
This hotel was so much better than we expected. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There was even the offer of a free shuttle bus to the pier. Facilities were great with a free drink at happy hour and a wonderful breakfast for free! The room was very big with separate lounge area. Some of the cupboards looked a bit worn but it really didn’t matter. We really enjoyed this hotel. More impressed than we thought we would be.
Location of property is excellent 1 block from beach. Easy check in. Room was newly renovated so clean n well appointed. We had a minor issue with a light n the staff came to room in less than 5 minutes to fix it. Didn’t get to use the pool but that is a nice touch for an inexpensive hotel. They are dog friendly as well. Due to covid no continental breakfast. Not fancy but free parking n great value!
Oceanfront with lovely chairs and fire pits to relax. The pool and hot tub are also by the ocean which is terrific! The room was awesome with a gas fireplace and an ocean view. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure.
The hotel is walking distance to the town of Pismo Beach and all its amenities (restaurants, shops).
Large number of activities available, rooms were very big. In room TV were great for the kids., Internet, steaming and casting from your devices were possible, which is something no other hotel we visited had available (visited 6 other hotels during our trip)
Everything was great about this hotel including the price.
Great views of spectacular ocean by Pismo. Special hotel on Pismo cliffs. Clean comfortable. Giuseppe's fabulous restaurant is close by. EV and dog friendly. Charge point EV Chargers. $100 per stay pet fee. Good breakfast!
The place was clean and bed/beddings were comfortable.
Location was close to the beach and few minutes drive to downtown Pismo Beach.
Walking towards the "bird sanctuary" passing thru different hotels is a must.
The hotel is very nice, the bedrooms are lovely and spacious with a nice fireplace. The hotel is lovely overlooking Pismo beach, the fire pits are a gem for an evening drink. Beautiful views from the gardens.
The hotel is almost on the beach. We had an ocean view room, which meant we could sit on our balcony and watch the sunset. The room and bathroom were clean, and the beds were comfortable.
This place felt more like a home than a hotel would. Fully supplied with just about everything you would need except the food. Perfect. Will return again soon. Would very so recommend.
Pet friendly. Gave my dog a treat at check-in, and a complimentary poop bag. about 10 yards from the beach. easy walking distance to the Pismo Beach pier and many restaurants and shops
Amazing family and pet friendly resort on the bluff with panoramic ocean views, huge green lawn and walking paths. Just gorgeous it’s our new favorite vacation spot!
Loved the location and seems to be newly remodeled. Staff was nice and helpful and we had a quite night with a comfy bed. We will definitely be back to this hotel.
