Conveniently located a half hour from Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge. Very friendly host to check us in. Spotlessly clean room. Soft, cushy towels and comfortable bed, nice pillows. Bathroom looked updated. I liked the pebbly floor of the shower which was comfortable to stand on! Nice to have a kitchen area too. The restaurant had excellent food and very friendly and welcoming service.

When you want south Padres water, but not the hustle and noise, Port Isabelle is the place to go! Lovely shops, food, and don’t miss the lighthouse. I wish I had stayed a week instead of only a few days. And definitely book a fishing trip! We took one as a surprise for my husband for surprising me. Other than being a former Tarpon...when my family and I visit my hometown, we like to stay local to afford us the comfort of being close to home. So without being too partial, this little town holds its own when invaded by tourists, and the like.

This small hotel was a perfect budget stay with hot shower, comfy king bed, simple kitchen, fridge, living and dining areas, and more than enough room to spread out. My wife and I will keep it in mind next time we are looking for a spot close enough to enjoy SPI beaches without the party culture along the strip. Bring your own kitchen ware if you plan to use the kitchen at all for anything other than brewing coffee and storing cold stuff in the fridge. They were a bit understaffed due to the Covid pandemic which is understandable. The room had two full-size beds with a Kitchenette. Was dated but everything was clean and in working order.
