the city of Selma is great.Baymont Wyndam was horrible. My room was rented to another customer.I was given another room at an increased price without my acknowledgement. I was promised a refund that I have not rec'd at this time. the manager is never available when I call. I am always told another time/date. My phone number has been given continuously. Booking.com said also that I would be reimbursed. I did not check out on the date that the ticket indicates. I was told to stay to morning because of the long trip.

Our 5th visit to Selma and so much history.
Our 5th visit to Selma and so much history. The civil rights history comes alive and Selma is to be congratulated for their outstanding improvements in race relations.
We especially love the Church Street Methodist Church and the museums.

I like Selma the city.
I like Selma the city. Why we as Americans haven't done more to boost communities like this i don't know. Well i do, but it's wrong and we are doing everyone a disservice. Selma is rich with history and should be visited and preserved by all.

I love Selma if there were more job opportunities I would move back. To me, it's beautiful and bring back a lot of great memories of me and my family time there, especially my grandma who also loved Selma.

Selma looks and feel SAD.
Selma looks and feel SAD. Quite depressing, for a town that had so much history. Particularly, civil. Almost everything is closed down. Looks like a ghost town. Very low income, and it shows. Business trip only.
The St James is a beautiful hotel in such an important location in American history, near the Edmund Pettus bridge. All the staff we interacted with (front desk, housekeeping, bartender, server) were warm, friendly and professional. The courtyard is gorgeous and relaxing. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the food and drinks were fantastic!
The St. James in Selma, AL. is a very nice and lovely restored hotel in Selma. We’d like to come back.
Our room was clean and gad an individual, hospitable touch.
The breakfast and dinner room is inviting.
I will never stay there ever and I advise anybody what the pictures look like it is not that they have people hanging out outside your door the rooms was nasty be careful about this hotel
I was charged for room 212 which I was only actually for 20 minutes bc it was infested with bedbugs. I checked out and went and stayed at another hotel. Was told I wouldn’t be charged.
