I’ve stayed here many times and the rooms are very spacious as well as the bathrooms just like at home. I also enjoyed the fact that they always have body lotion and conditioner. Wall mounted to the wall, which is very handy and convenient.

The breakfast was lacking, they had tea bags out for tea and no hot water, they didn't have decaf coffee available. They ran out of waffle batter by 9am Saturday and didn't make more. They ran out of eggs. Adaine was nice and got me hot water from the stockroom. Carmen the night desk employee was pleasant and helpful. Holly in housekeeping was rude and not helpful with breakfast Friday morning. Jonny was helpful and kind in house keeping, got us hand towels and wash cloths.

It was clean, quiet and included a kitchenette in the room. There was a good place to eat (Five Corners Bistro and Craft Bar) less than a mile from the hotel.

I live in RI and have never been that far into the center of CT as I always thought it would be boring. I was incorrect and went to a number of stores, breweries, eateries and met a great group of people throughout my short stay.

We were visiting the New England Air Museum.
We were visiting the New England Air Museum. This motel was about 15 minutes away. It was the most reasonable motel price-wise. The motel is old and dated, as are the interior finishes. Not run down, just old. There have been some updates, but more would not hurt. The room was a good size. The room was very clean. Everything worked inside. Clean is the biggest thing for me. Dated doesn't bother me.

It never stopped pouring for 48 hours, could not walk around at all, in addition, very cold.
Unusual for this time of the year!
We drove around to different little towns.

It was pouring/raining for the duration of our trip.
It was pouring/raining for the duration of our trip. We didn't get to enjoy the hiking to the tower or a nearby botanical garden as we planned. But, it was close to Hartford and we found some indoor stuff to do there. The Pine and Iron axe throwing spot was unexpectedly fun! And lunch in West Hartford was great. I'd say, if you see it is going to rain actively try to plan a nearby museum or other activity. We weren't able to get into the Mark Twain House (about 20 minutes away I think) and b/c of COVID indoor activities are limited.

I did not have enough time to thoroughly explore the area but from what I did see it was very cozy and full of nature exploration features. The people were very friendly. It was also easy to get around and a very quaint community with great food and lots of places to eat.
The most magical place on the East Coast. Beautiful magical, historical, friendliest and genuinely warm staff, home feeling but with all amenities of a hotel, sister hotel close by with the huge pool and most amazing jacuzzi with the strongest jets. I came to US to move and had a lot of hard work unpacking and packing, and it was all very straining both physically and emotionally and this place was the warmest base that helped me so much! Thank you Sheryl, Kai and Glen you made me feel like a part of your family. Miss you!
They took great care of me from the start. When my original room was flooded due to a storm, they gave me another lovely room. The place was beautiful and gracious. I want to give a special shout out to Debbie at the front desk. She was so welcoming and warm, even though there was a hurricane on the way. She really made me feel like family. I will definitely stay here any time I’m in Simsbury!
Everything was done right, attention to details, relaxing, nice bedding and towels, a breakfast made for royalty, chef presentation, candles, they are truly talented inn keepers. We look forward to returning. Thank you.
Front end staff was exceptional and welcoming. Restaurant manager was professional, skilled and most accommodating to our dinner party. She has a memory like an elephant and made for a wonderful dining experience.
Simsbury 1820 House is a beautiful, peaceful, picturesque place to spend couple of days in. The staff was highly accommodating and helpful, the room was nicely decorated and styled. We had a wonderful time.
Beautiful B & B, incredible breakfast, warm and friendly host and hostess in Jim and Cathy.
We appreciated the one-night stay option as we could not be in Simsbury for two consecutive nights.
Had a nice quiet room with a very comfortable king-sized bed. Proprietors were lovely and they allowed a late check out. My place to stay in Simsbury for comfort and value
