I traveled here with my partner and elderly mum so we could see the eclipse in April 2024. They were one of the only places that had the integrity to not jack their prices sky high, and for that I will be eternally grateful. They put us in rooms next to each other as requested which I am also so grateful for. This was an absolutely fantastic place to stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and it's really geared towards comfort and coziness. It was immediately apparent that it is run by a family who care so much about it, and they put their heart and soul into making it as homely and welcoming as they could. At check in, there was a fire in the fireplace with sofas around, a glass box popcorn maker full of little bags of popcorn, and I did notice that there was a firepit out front, with smores kits available at the front desk, and hot drinks around the corner. Also- fresh cucumber/mint water in a water cooler! Perfect after a long drive. The staff were all really lovely and the rooms were perfect—clean, comfortable, with guest bathrobes and lots of little extra things to make your stay enjoyable. Loved that there were extra outlets and USB ports on each side of the bed as well. We ate dinner here as well, pizzas with a dessert cheesecake which was out of this world. We only stayed one night and we were sad we weren't staying longer! I'd come back in a heartbeat. I felt like we really were so lucky to find this place!

We have travelled to Sullivan several times the past few...
We have travelled to Sullivan several times the past few years to attend the fall music festival at Meramec Cave. We have previously enjoyed learning more about Sullivan, checking out shops and restaurants. This year we relaxed and enjoyed the motel until the music program began.

The young man who checked us in was very nice but charged me twice. I’m still waiting on an answer to my refund. The door to the room had no seals and it was below freezing with arctic wind blasting in. Thankfully we had a lot of our own blankets in the car as otherwise we would have frozen!!!!! 🥶 Probably ok in summer but avoid in winter.

It was so family friendly. We have a host home and care for special need kids/young adults. They did not have an issue at all helping our kids with the vending machines, pool, or directions. We felt our kids were safe enough there to let them have a little freedom and feel independent. They visited with our kids and made them feel so good about themselves. We have stayed in several places and do have to say this was the best for our particular family's needs. We got to actually rest and not worry if our kids were going to be thought of as an annoyance. I was passing through, and needed a place to stay for the night. Motel 6 was right off the highway, and an excellent value for the price. The clerk on duty was extremely polite and helpful. There was at least three that I saw. The manager is as rude as it gets. For 5 more a night you can stay at super 8 which is in walking distance of this hotel.
