We were actually in town for a funeral so not so fun but it...
We were actually in town for a funeral so not so fun but it is beautiful having a frozen Lake Huron across the way. Lots of parks for summertime fun. We visited the Boathouse Beer and Boozery TWICE and both times, enjoyed the food offerings and their crafted beer. We had breakfast at Augie's and they are BRILLIANT for offering half omelets. Mine was DELICIOUS and absolutely full of my choice toppings (bacon and jalapeno.) Everyone was super friendly as well. I would also highly recommend heading up to East Tawas as well for a little shopping.dimarie630United States of America - 10Scored 10

Access to water. Great shops. Awesome restaurants especially G’s pizza and Marion’s ice cream establishment...best breakfast place in town, an unexpected gem. Ice cream was great too.parks are clean and the boardwalk is an awesome walk. Plenty of benches, Uber clean streets and Tawas blends seamlessly into East Tawas so there’s a plethora of interesting things to do.

We love being by the water and this was a great choice, we spent a lot of time at Browns Landing campground very nice place. The only thing we didn’t care for were all of those crazy flies, they were everywhere!

Every where we went to eat at the service was very good and staff was pleasant. The shops are always well stocked and staff is knowledgeable. A great little town with the pier near by and several parks and beaches for relaxing and reading.
