It was obvious the owners did everything to make the house comfortable and convenient !
Putting televisions and electric fireplaces in each bedroom was a special touch !
Charming town stuck in the 19th century. Location on Lake Erie and 10 minutes from Chautauqua Lake keeps the hotel costs a lot lower than the tourist traps. Lots of the musicians in the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra live there because it's so much cheaper!

It's much more expensive there & by far!
It's much more expensive there & by far! A much smaller community than where we're from. Over here in the Finger Lakes of New York State. Doesn't look like they make any reinvestment. Into their financial gains, if any. Or, any plans to do so. There in the future for any long term financial growth. Since they built the NYS Thruway. The communities there have been "dying" since the early 60's ;- (
A few restaurants located there. One [1] might even have to possibly remortgage their home to eat at! ;- {
Which for such a reclusive geographical spot in New York State. Shows a Hotel Restaurant graduate. That they will not be there long. They had a restaurant there with a 30 minute wait time. To buy a hamburger for $15 dollars! They've got a better chance at seeing God. Before anyone I know pays $15 dollars for a simple hamburger ;- )
The people there were extremely friendly & quite pleasant though. They made spending more than a dollar. For a single cup of coffee at McDonald's even, "ok." A bummer, as I have traveled across America & not seen it before, but "ok" ;- ]
We came in late and the owner/manager Thai called and left the key inside the room. It is comfortable and clean. And the manager is really friendly. Being a campground owner in Washington we know he put in the effort to make the stay as good of experience for the guests. It is better in anyway we have experienced w a couple of 2 star chain or independently operated motels/hotel! Next time we come accross this would be the one for us to stay. Thx.
I can honestly say the Theater Motel exceeded my expectations! The host went above and beyond to communicate with me before my arrival. The room was clean and well cared for. I could tell they take extreme pride in their accommodations! I have to be in the area every 2 weeks for the next few months and this will be my home away from home! I would give it 10 stars if I could!
Very clean room staff is very friendly. Price very reasonable and value was good compared to other local hotels. Do not let the broken driveway pavement deter you the rooms are very clean and comfortable. I believe they are currently renovating the entire hotel.
Ok so your thinking this is the “bates” motel but don’t be fooled. This little hotel was clean and comfortable with the sweetest owners. We extended our one night into three and enjoyed the beautiful countryside. Lots of neat places within 30 miles.
This was my fourth stay. Super friendly owners, rooms are always clean and well maintained. Handy for shopping in Erie, visiting the Chautauqua Lake area and Jamestown, or just checking out Westfield itself.
I loved that this is such a clean little roadside hotel. The manager has worked so hard to update the rooms. Keep in mind this is an old hotel that has old wood work etc. I love finding gems like this.
The hotel is a bit retro with fixtures from approximately the 50s. Everything was clean, as I looked closely. The nearby town is a classical small town with local restaurants which had good food.
For the price, the room was very good. It was clean, simple, and fine. The bed was comfortable and the television had better channels choices than many higher priced hotel chains.
