Samarkand is a city rich with history, where every site has a story. The main attractions like Registan Square are stunning, and the local food is delicious. People here are very friendly and welcoming. I also found the city to be very safe. It's a great place that feels both ancient and welcoming.

Registan square is quite beautiful and a must visit place in Uzbekistan. In terms of food, there are very less options for Vegetarian food but have 2-3 good Indian restaurant where one can find some good Indian Veg food. Cabs are also very cheap here to roam around the city.

There are a lot to see in Samarkand given the fact that it's one of the most important cities in the silk road history. Don't miss the light show in the Registan Square. I didn't expect there are so many tress in the city given the fact that it's a landlock country here. Flowers blossom everywhere in spring. I am fascinated by the food here.

nice place, nice people, very friendly athmosphere.
nice place, nice people, very friendly athmosphere. The mausoleums, madrassas and musea (don't forget the museum at the mediaval city ruins) are truly remarkable. Don't forget to visit the university quarter (and the Theatre of historical costume «El merosi» and it's coffee bar).
A continuous struggle and ripping off by taxi drivers, so be informed of what you are supposed to pay. Perfect point to move on by train to Bukhara. Samarkand is a grand destination.
I absolutely loved this hotel! this is where you want to stay while visiting Samarkand: the location is absolutely perfect (yes you have to walk a little bit because cara can’t go to the street) but it’s a very small walk.
breakfast was delicious and there was a lot of stuff to chose from, I loved they had Nutella and crepes among many many choices.
The room was huge and very quiet! yes mattress are really firm but that’s everywhere in Uzbekistan.
I highly recommend this hotel!!!
A superb quiet location while only a few minutes walk from Registan Square. Excellent welcome and brilliant breakfast. Really cosy beds and massive room. Really impressive and great for families.
Went on a 4hr walking tour through the hotel and enjoyed it very much. We certainly got a lot in and it was good to learn more about local views on their own country and abroad. Uzbekistan is going to become a mainstream tourist option soon - book now while it's still quiet.
This is a family owned guesthouse. The owner is very friendly and always helpful. His wife prepares every day a delicious breakfast. Location is great, all main sites are within walking distance, e.g. the Registan. A big shout out to the reception clerk, very friendly and super helpful and he always serves delicious green tea with some sweets. Samarkand was one of the highlights of our trip to Uzbekistan and for sure this guesthouse was a little gem! Highly recommended
The stay is very close to the city's popular Registan square. The owners were communicating in English well. Aunty prepared very fresh and hot food for everyone at the stay. They have a shared bathroom, they will provide you with a towel, a shampoo and a soap along with a mini toothpaste and a brush. The rooms were very well decorated. It was mix of both uzbeki and somehow Russian architect. 🇺🇿🇮🇳 long live India Uzbekistan relationship. Jimmy Jimmy 💕
The receptionists Chikku and Delia were so nice and helpful. The location is perfect, few minutes walk to Registan square. The hostel is clean and the cute lounge area is comfortable to hang out at. This place was recommended to me by friends who's stayed here last year and I recommended it to a fellow traveller I met in Bukhara. Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who visits Uzbekistan (especially the solo travellers).
- Great staff, very helpful.
- Great location, 5 min walk to Registan or Market
- They checked us in early (around 9am) and didn’t ask for extra payment! Big thanks for that
- The room was huge and beautiful and the bathroom had very beautiful tiles, it really felt like back in USSR time Uzbekistan
- the whole vibe of the guesthouse is very nice, you feel like you are back in time.
- nice breakfast
The receptionists were so nice. I have traveled to many places but I never met so helpful receptionists. Mushtariy helped me a lot with the things I need for the Airport in other hotels i didnt receive that much help. I will definitely visit this hotel again when I visit Uzbekistan. Also the room was really modern and nice and the surrounding felt very save
We love the area, all the facilities. The room is very clean and comfortable with an amazing view. The breakfast is tasty and assorted. This is the best place to stay in Samarkand, because the whole day you are in the old town, enjoying the history and in the evening you come back to a modern and fully equipped hotel in the fantastic park.
This guesthouse is run by the nicest family! They were so welcoming and friendly. Our family of 4 stayed here for one night during our springtime trip to Uzbekistan. It is in a great location to see all the sites of Samarkand. The breakfast was great. The room was clean and suited our needs very well. I highly recommend staying here!
I spent in total 10 days in Uzbekistan in 5 different hotels. This one was by far the best. In an interesting historical builing, rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, the staff speaks english very well and help where they can.
Excellent breakfast and free coffee and fruits in the afternoon.
In walking distance to Registan.
I stayed at this hotel twice during my trip in Uzbekistan and it was awesome.
Although I arrived at the hotel late without sharing arriving time due to lack of internet connection, staff welcomed me and supported my trip in Samarkand very much.
Everything (location, room, facility, breakfast) was perfect for my stay.
My first Visit to Uzbekistan, in fact i was a bit scary about the people behavior, but i found my self wrong, when firstly i delt with hotel medina staff and their response towards our facilitation. really, i will recommend to stay at Medina hotel. its quite cheaper, well facilitated, cooperative and smiling staff.
The host is super friendly and humble. I felt like it is my home. Stayed there for 3 days. Kitchen is clean and well equipped.Beds are comfortable. 5 min walking distance from Registan square. Shops are nearby. I stayed in Uzbekistan for 9 days but among all hostels this one is the best.
This was the most beautiful room I stayed in in Uzbekistan. It was even better than the 4 star hotels where I paid 2 times the price. The staff is very kind, and helped me book a taxi when I first landed even though I had some problems at the airport. They even provided snacks and coffee.
Opted to stay here my last night in Uzbekistan purely because it's attached to one of the more highly rated restaurants in the city. The restaurant didn't disappoint. The room was also very spacious and impeccably clean.
The family is very sweet. they pick up us from the train station. offers us tea every day. the location is great very close to the center of Samarkand. the breakfast is great. the decoration of the hotel is very cute
This hotel is truly amazing. It is right in a heart of old Samarkand. It has a view on Bibihanum, authenticity, details in design and decorations. All and all, amazing! Also, the breakfast is outstanding.
The hotel is clean as honestly the vast majority of hotels in Uzbekistan. The breakfast was unusual from what you can usually expect in the hotels and was good
Location, one of the receptionists was great! Helped us with the cash issues (pls be informed that in Uzbekistan money in the ATMs could finish very fast)
