It was a beautiful farm house big enough for the whole family. We had a pleasant time and enjoyed the beautiful views and the dam where the kids could fish. Plenty of space for the kids to run around and play some cricket and soccer. Overall it was a great experience.

There are a lot of hiking spots around this lodge, and if that is your jam you will have amazing views and scenery. They have a private vulture hide that you can book and pay for and take some amazing shots of endangered Vultures, they also have a trout dam that you can fish at, and many other games available. Going in to Autumn this was a unseasonably warm stay, there are no fans in the room and as the air gets cooler at night, there are bats so keeping the windows/doors open is not suggested.

    Beautiful views and amazing hikes.

Beautiful views and amazing hikes. Road to Kamberg Valley is in a very bad state of disrepair. I found the drive very stressful on passenger and driver, be prepared to add extra time on your travel time and to be stressed out when you reach your destination.

What a wonderful view and peaceful place.

What a wonderful view and peaceful place. Pet-friendly garden and very well-equipped kitchen. We had an issue with the gas system so on 2 mornings of our stay we had no hot water or stove top to cook on. This was unfortunate as the rest of our stay was wonderful and the premises were superb!

Remote, peaceful valley in the Drakensberg.

Remote, peaceful valley in the Drakensberg. Great scenery and hiking (Kamberg and Highmoor areas very close). Lots of good fly fishing. Suits nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet. Has few amenities (eg restaurants, pubs) compared to more touristy areas

The scenery in the whole area is quite magnificent.

The scenery in the whole area is quite magnificent. We were a group of three and we self-catered. The only place where we ate was the Blueberry Cafe at Netherwood Farm (Nottingham Road) and our meal was superb. Our accommodation was very close to the new Spring Grove Dam. The walking around the area is enjoyable but fairly taxing!!!!
