Breakfast was not included. The place was clean, beautifully decorated and welcoming. The best, we were not bothered by load shedding at all since the property has an invertor!! The gardens were beautiful and I loved the little table on the outside to sit at.

It was a last minute booking yet the response time was quick. The lodge is beautiful, neat and well maintained. Plus, provisions are made to ensure that you're not in the dark during loadshedding. It's perfect for short stays. The rooms are spacious and have AC. It is situated a walking distance away from restaurants and shops.

This is my second stay here. Three years ago it was bustling, the restaurant was open and the facility in top shape. There is definitely neglect and it is a big shame that the restaurant is closed

Gareth was a consummate host. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Canapés prepared in the kitchen served at 6 pm daily with wine from an excellent selection. Gareth and Grant took the trouble to chat to us while we ate the delicious snacks. We felt like special guests welcomed into their beautiful home. The breakfasts were a highlight with different fare every day. Omelettes, mini-quiches and other hot egg-baked dishes. All mouth-watering . For my birthday my daughter and son-in-law joined us for a specially catered lunch. Slow roasted Osso Buco was perfect. A lot of time and effort went into making the lunch memorable Every room is furnished with treasures which must have been chosen with care over a long period. My wife, who gardens, marvelled at the garden the variety of plants and the beauty with which it was layed out. A slice of heaven on earth. We hope to return soon

The location is very, very beautiful and peaceful. The bedroom is a decent size. The bed is very comfortable and the nights are quiet, with no road noise. Bruce is lovely; very warm and welcoming. For a short-term stay, the accommodation is good.
