Yes it’s a winding drive up the mountain so you need a car but that is part of what makes it so spectacular. Amazing views from the home! Mountains and waterfalls! Warm and cozy with a nice wood burning fireplace. Comfortable bed. Fully furnished living room was so cozy after a long day of exploring Nicely stocked large kitchen is perfect for preparing meals …And a wonderful jetted tub! Only 2 of us so we never even used the two bedrooms upstairs but this would be a wonderful place for families or friend get together. Also has a washer so it was great to clean everything after a weeks worth of hiking! The town is close by ( about 10 min drive) so everything is convenient. Would recommend that you book this beautiful home in a heartbeat!

Le Flatheim est un charmant séjour à la ferme situé dans la vallée de Viksdalen. This place is truly a hidden gem. There is not much around here, just beautiful nature and a very authentic experience of staying in a nice Norwegian cabin. We stayed for one night only, as we were on our way from Lærdal to Stryn, but even in that short amount of time, we enjoyed and appreciated owner's hospitality and authentic experience of staying in this place. The place is clean, comfortable and well maintained. A lot of wood makes it feel warm and cozy. Breakfast is nice with some homemade products. Parking was free, without any hassle.

The check-in process was easy, and we stayed 2 nights. The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, and has 3 rooms, living room, kitchen (fully equipped), and a balcony with breathtaking views of the mountains, waterfall, and river below. You hear all night the sound of the river and sometimes the Flam Railway that passes in the back. The beds are very comfortable and relaxing. The living space is spacious and modern. We loved to cook breakfast and dinner together with the balcony door opened hearing the river and with fresh and cool air. The bathroom was spacious and had a washer. We washed some clothes and let them dry on the balcony. The Flam port and train station are a few minutes away.
