We actually stayed for three nights the town is lovely plenty to see. We changed rooms after the first night to one with a window over the court yard. The typical Andalusian court yard is lovely to sit in. The hotel is in a good location in the centre of the town but easy to get to from the bus station.

The hotel is in the old part of town and very accessible to the Moorish castle (a steep climb on stone steps), very good restaurants and bodegas. Our air-conditioned room was a good size with very nice en-suite facilities. The large double bed was supremely comfortable with excellent pillows (not always the case when away from home). The small rooftop pool was great to come back to after a day's sightseeing. A lovely way to cool down and then relax on the loungers and chairs beneath the parasols. Breakfast was the standard continental fare with very good & varied bread and coffee. Fresh fruit and cake was available. All the staff, from reception to domestics were very polite and helpful. The minibar was always kept stocked with beers, cokes & bottled water. Milk was available on request from reception.

An interesting old town with narrow streets, many churches and museums, scores of restaurants and tapas bars and a friendly atmosphere. Access to Granada and Ronda are easy by train or car. El Torcal is a very interesting trip into the mountains. A good central location for southern Andalucia

Lots of historical buildings and churches.
Lots of historical buildings and churches. The view from the castle at the top of the hill is worth the climb and the beautiful church. Plenty of eating places. We loved Loulu’s Bistro for breakfast opposite our hotel.

Friendly Pueblo Blanco town that’s easy to move through on foot or in car. It’s a central location to so much in Andalucía within 2-3 hours in a car, so you can spend a day in busy hectic Seville or Cordoba and sleep in peaceful Antequera.

Very friendly town.
Very friendly town. Recommend a guided tour to include the dolmens - we booked a combination tour of walking the town, visiting a chapel and a short ride in a 'micro bus' to the dolmens.
Buy cakes and pastries from a convent. Spend an evening in Bar Lola next to Plaza Coso Viejo for excellent food, friendly service and great atmosphere.
Antequera is an easy 45-minute drive from Málaga airport, so it's a great place to spend a couple of nights before heading off to explore Andalucía. Lots of free parking.

Antequera is a pretty town with a big church and castle. Also, you can visit dolmens (in the town) and El Torcal hiking area (nearby, some 20km maybe). The town seemed cozy during workdays and quite busy on Saturday with many people cruising the streets.

Antequera is a beautiful place with loads of churches and elaborate buildings. I could have done with another day here at least. I also never got to sample the food so I will definitely need to come back.
The modern apartment is in a monumental building with an absolutely gorgeous and impressive stairway. Centrally located, the old town and main street is just a few steps away. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful hostess who had a good sense of humor and was at our disposal anytime we needed anything. Be sure to visit the La Perla factory just behind the building (you can see it from the living room / bedroom window) to buy some of Antequera’s world famous Xmas biscuits, mantecados and alfajores.
I had travelled from Malaga, Cordoba, Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Sitges, Granada back to south via Antequera over a 6 week exploration of Spain staying in mix of expensive and cheaper hotels accordingly.
Madrid as a city was wonderful, but, of all the stops and places; I fell in love with Antequera - the staff, cost, location of this charming, exceptionally professional Hotel is a ‘destination’ for anyone.
I had a fantastic week in this small city and gorgeous inexpensive hotel.
A spacious, clean, attractive house with a huge roof terrace that offers exceptional views. The house is within easy walking distance of the city centre and parking is never a problem. We stayed for three weeks and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Our hosts (English and Spanish) were extremely helpful and always available for assistance or advice. My wife and I have stayed in a huge number of holiday homes and hotels over the years and this one ranks among the very best of them!
This place is great! 25 euro’s per room is the best value we have ever had in a hotel room. We arrived at the hotel about 11pm, checked in and then sat outside for a few drinks and a snack until 2 30am. Room was great and we fell asleep very quickly. The hotel serves food and drinks 24 hours a day. In the morning, after a long lie in, we had some amazing rolls and soft drinks before making or way to Seville.
We very much enjoyed our one-night stay. A building with interesting and appealing character. Rooms modern and clean. The restaurant was good, we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. Best of all, however, was the excellent sports facility attached to the hotel where we had unlimited access to 4 padel courts, an excellent swimming pool and all the weight training equipment you would find in a serious gym.
A very nice comfortable hotel for a stopover on route home. All amenities necessary in the room. Short walk into town which is quite buzzy, lots of Spanish families. A nice touch would be a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in room. There is a bar for drinks and meals but can be quite busy as the hotel has lots of coach travellers.
Lovely room's in a very nicely run hotel. Very comfortable and in a very good location. The owner, and staff are kind helpful and attentive. The restaurant at the hotel is popular with guests and local people, for good reason as it is well run and good value, with a nice menu. We would definitely stay here again for certain.
The hotel is quaint but very clean. The cafe/cantina was exceptional and we enjoyed our tapas there very much. We came back for lunch on our last day and the restaurant was full as the 11 euro set menu was very popular, so we ate in the cafe/cantina again which was very good.
The place has a patio with a fountain and a fantastic view on Antequera alcazaba. It is very spacious, kitchen has anything you might need to cook. In addition they provide coffee, marmelade, the, for breakfast.
We really liked our stay. Antequera is beautiful.
Great hotel and amazing location! Staff were all very friendly and the hotel itself was beautiful. The location couldn't have been better. Parking is available behind a secured gate for a fee.
Great location in the center on Antequera
Very friendly and helpful staff
Room looks fresh and modern
Lovely common area with a view to medieval cathedral and tover
Dinner at the hotel was exceptionally good, attention was perfect. Breakfast was quick and satisfying. The town of Antequera is very pretty, located on a hillside.
Best bang for the buck hotel. 30 minutes from Malaga, close to Antequera and El Torcal, Room was clean and ok, There's a bar open for breakfast and late night
