After walking 45kms on the Camino, I needed a quiet place to sleep. And I got that. I’ve stayed here before and liked it each time. This time was even better. It seemed to be renovated and the rooms were improved but without spoiling the charm. The woman who checked me in and the man who helped with my breakfast were both very kind and professional. I highly recommend this hotel.

You check in at a restaurant while entering Cacabelos on the Camino. This was well communicated before my stay. The woman at reception was lovely and treated me to a glass of wine while explaining the process to check in. It was about 500 m down the road and everything was as described. Right on the Camino. Clean and convenient.

Great place. Great staff. Great attached restraunt, simple food choices, but perfect before and after a day hiking the Camino. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

Cacabelos is a medieval village, surrounded by wineries.
Cacabelos is a medieval village, surrounded by wineries. It is situated some 7 kms from Ponferrada and exactly on the pilgrim road to Santiago de Compostela. The village offers a lot of facilities, shops etc. I stayed in Hotel Villa de Cacabelos. Good !
Spain at its very best. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the hotel staff were both friendly and helpful. From recommending the best restaurant to ensuring our luggage and motorbikes were stored safely in their underground car park, nothing was too much trouble - and best of all - they always had a happy smile on their faces. Quite an achievement considering we speak hardly a word of Spanish, and could only communicate via Google translate. Without a doubt one of the very best places we stayed at in Spain.
I hadn’t planned on staying in town but needed a place suddenly… this turned out to be one of the best hostels I stayed at on the entire Camino!
staff was friendly, and hard working. room was clean, and I happened to have no other people in mine (4 Bds) so I effectively got a hotel experience for only $20.
nice modern shower, modern tv, comfortable bed, secure lockers/facility, and air conditioning!
Nicely renovated hotel close to everything and yet still very quiet and peaceful. The woman at the front desk was 100% friendly and helpful throughout my stay. (Note to management - give her a pay raise. Good staff are the best advertising). The hotel has an elevator.
Underground parking, secure for motorcycle. A good number of places to eat due to the Camino. The town was quite sweet and pleasant. Hotel staff very nice, especially as we arrived early because we wanted to have lunch in the town. Breakfast okay for €6.50
Hotel is in the middle of downtown. The restaurant was open for guests, but not the evening we arrived. It seems to be only open for coffee, but might have more at some other time. Restaurants and bars were in easy walking distance.
The young woman who answered the phone and tried to direct me to the other place where I had to pick up the key finally had to come to the hotel and let me in.
