Fabulous experience! We stayed at La Bulle for one night, the experience is definitely worth it. The room is spacious, the jacuzzi is perfect especially in the fall season. The breakfast is absolutely amazing and very generous for 2 people.

It was clean and the host provided us with some lovely welcome essentials & Wine! All facilities were there and the family all fitted in well. The roof terrace pool & hot tub were an added bonus. Would recommend this property.

The view was spectacular!!!!! The villa was in a beautiful peaceful area where we enjoyed the quiet immensely. We really enjoyed the pool and the spacious rooms. The jacuzzi was also nice - we only got to enjoy it on our last day as it wasn't heated, and we only took the villa for 2 nights.

This B&B is centrally located in Cómpeta and is an absolute delight. A traditional house in Cómpeta with an interesting history. It is just around the corner from the main square, yet still on a quiet street.
We felt very welcome and comfortable. We are grateful to Amber and Jason who are excellent hosts, helpful in every way, from their communication before you arrive giving clear instructions on parking via whatsapp, and throughout our stay, including assisting as needed with suitcases.
More importantly, they are friendly and courteous hosts that take every opportunity to share information on restaurants, activities and features of the area. In great part they make the experience of Cómpeta complete and must be very proud of what they have created with Casa Maroma.
The breakfast is excellent. Good home made selection every morning and very good coffee.
Our room was clean, comfortable and restful, good linens, tv, and really all you need.
The Casa has a cozy common living room with fire and a roof terrace filled with plants and a comfortable and relaxing lounge area. Amber and Jason shine through in the decoration of their Casa with a fusion of traditional Spanish, with tasteful modern features, local art, and warm beautiful touches of their native Cornwall.
Can highly recommend this charming B&B. Would return to Cómpeta for the lovely and friendly energy of the village, and to their B&B Casa Maroma without hesitation.

After you are here for a short while you get the feeling of a community that is healthy and functional. There is an outdoor market once a week. The restaurants and cafes are good, the shops are lovely. Very nice wine and local product shop on a corner steps to the right of the main square. Walk around Cómpeta and you will find several gems of shops, views, and eating places. Cómpeta's streets are hilly and you have to have comfortable grippy shoes. In the short time we were there our legs defnitely got a workout! A very friendly place, 25 minute drive from the coast. But frankly, we loved the energy there and didn't even miss being on the coast. It was relaxing, had art, culture, food. Lovely air and sunshine!GabrielaLuxembourg - 10Scored 10

Set in the hillside mountain you find the truly Mediterranean white houses and buildings tiered up the mountainside. As one can imagine narrow streets and lots of steps, steep climb in Competa. Park the car and enjoy the walk, stop at one of the cafes and take in the atmosphere. However, if you are mobility impaired I would think otherwise. Once you are in Competa and at a view point embrace the surroundings. Reserve a table at Restaurant Pilon for a truly enjoyable meal.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

Great town just to wander around, lovely little streets, plenty of photo opportunities. The restaurants in the square by the church serve very decent food - tapas and similar. Competa is located well for trips to the beach - Nerja, Maro being two we enjoyed and also for trips to the Alhambra and Rhonda (bit of a drive but worth it). Would not really like to drive on the winding road up to Competa in the dark! An April visit was a good choice, not too hot and spring flowers in abundance. There were many walking groups around - those hills look compelling but challenging!

An idyllic town on the verge of the mountains and natural park. There are a lot of expats but the town still has a very Spanish charm. Medical center open and very accessible if needed. Restaurante el Pilon has the best ever lamb chops grilled to perfection with char coal. Several small supermarkets so you won't get hungry even if you're self catering. People were very friendly in general.

From the beginning my friend and I found it easy even to just sit and have a chat with them. They gave us some welcoming Moscatel Wine which is the local one there in Compéta. Apart from that, the location of the place was quite convenient to check out all the cool restaurants, bars and shops nearby. One last thing. Breakfast included was absuloutely amazing. So much thought and care put into it I was impressed!

The house had everything you could think of , even sun hats, which I found behind the bathroom door. There are plenty of crockery and utensils. Very homely rustic feel to it. It's lovely to hear, then see the goats down the valley. Bottle of wine and bowl of lemons on arrival, there is a lemon tree right next to the pool area.

Comfortable and nicely decorated apartment with AC and good WiFi. Big terrace with a barbecue, we ate outside every day. Although the pool is shared with the other apartment we had it mostly to ourselves, and it’s a really nice pool with plenty of sunbeds, chairs and shade around.
