If you like different , you will love this. A wonderful old Rivermill , owned by a fabulous couple, in a French countryside setting only minutes from Omaha Beach. Ducks, chickens,sheep and an Alpaca even! The place is old and creaky, with a narrow staircase leading upstairs to a fantastic room to spend a few days in. We spent a couple of evenings chatting with Bernard and Maryanne ( hope I got spelling right) around the fire sharing tales of our travels with them.
If you want five star accommodation don’t book this, but if you want a Five star experience then this is for you.

It’s an absolutely gorgeous property nestled in a verdant countryside. Easy and ample parking.
We have a superior room, all felt splendid. Very clean, beautiful and cozy. It was a real treat.
Both nights we had delicious meals, sitting alongside fellow guests. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating.
It was a lovely experience. There are many public spaces at the chateau, a billiards and tv room, outdoor lounge of couches, dining al fresco or indoors. We also enjoyed walking the grounds.

Beautiful, clean, and modern feeling room in the upstairs of the owners home. Nice antique touches. The neighborhood and room were very quiet and the window shades blocked light well so we slept great. We asked for a fan and gluten free bread and the owner kindly provided them. We got great recommendations from the owner over a breakfast of GF toast and yogurt in the morning. They have a wonderful cat and friendly dog. It's located just a block away from the ocean. Free parking.
