We were travelling through France and stopped
at Presque au Château by chance. It was very hot
so we picked it for the pool and we’re pleasantly
surprised. it’s a very traditional old French house
with lots of original features- thick walls, beautiful
staircases, wide floorboards -which the owners
have sympathetically modernised.
The kitchens are fantastically equipped you can
make a proper meal and sit down and enjoy it
in a typical French kitchen.
There are lots of outside communal areas with
a festive feel and we really enjoyed the pool.

Be positive that once you are in the area that you have viable transportation. We arrived by train and there were no buses, Uber, lyft, cab driver was busy, no car rental and the electric bikes were all out of service. We booked thru Booking.com as a suggested stay. Never saw the place and were still charged for the stay.
