The Three Daggers, hotel in Edington

This luxury award-winning pub is surrounded by beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Dating back to the mid-18th century, The Three Daggers is in the heart of the village of Edington.

A special place to stay. Pub trying to do a lot - including brewery, spa, pizza place, farm shop etc. Place had a buzz about it. Staff very friendly. Room was perfect. There was also a guests lounge - which would be terrific if e.g. a few friends booked out all 3 (?) rooms and then had a private room which had real character. Lovely area to walk around as well. All good.

The Angel Inn, hotel in Edington

Nestled in the quiet Wiltshire village of Upton Scudamore, The Angel Inn is a beautifully restored 16th century coaching inn.

Have not explored much from the location, as we arrived late in the evening. Seemed a little spooky , but in the morning when we left at day light, could see the little gem where the inn was located, away from everyday traffic, surounded by nature. Loved the fact that we got complimentary tray with water, juice , tea, coffee, a a little bottle of milk. I love lots of milk in my coffee, and always struggle with those little capsuls what other hotels provide, as that's not enough for me. It made such a difference for us to have some drinks provided, is not much but we did ran out of drinks and was supper to have some in the room. Loved the idea of the little fridge expecially if you stay longer than one night. The bathroom was looking so clean and so beautiful, nice air freshners as well. Overall the room was super cosy and clean. For breakfast we got croissants with gem, butter, or milk and cerelas (few options provided). And tasty sandwiches. For myself and partner was more than sufficient. The location it's not far from Bath if travelling with car, like 25 minutes, and the hospitaand service worth it. Thank you for all staff for making our stay so pleasant. Definitely will be back and would recommend.

With a map it is easy to take footpaths up onto the Plain from close by the pub. Beware of the Military range - but some lovely walks up there and around the village. Church worth a look. Very unusual. Looks more like a castle or a country house.

Lovely rural setting with local pub and farm shop nearby. Would advise prebooking Three daggers if you want a meal. Beautiful local church. There are several good NT properties nearby to visit as well as some pretty market towns and Bath. Plenty local walk for dog owners look available too
