The staff were friendly and made the best out of the situation given there was a huge powercut for the majority of the day. They did make good use of their options and we were able to purchase food from the BBQ and pizza oven. The lodge itself was wonderful and modern with lots of great extras like high chair, travel cot which are great when travelling with a baby. I just would have liked to be able to experience it with full use of the lodge and facilities on site
JJs Lodge Oaktree is a recently renovated apartment in Thornton, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. Guests can benefit from a patio and a picnic area.

Its above a pub so expect to hear noise in the background, but it was not that bad. Very clean and included hairdryer and capsule epsresso machine apart from kettle for instant coffee. Separate entrance from the pub which is nice as you dont have to go through it if its busy, other than when checking in and out.

Fantastic place for relaxation and my meditations and reiki. It's also quite central if you fancy a trip to York or Beverely. So best of both worlds.
