The room was large with probably a super king bed. En suite spacious with a very powerful shower. Loads of space for the dog bed and he got a welcome pack! The full English breakfast was brilliant.

Absolutely beautiful, the place was wonderful, perfect to relax, so clean and welcoming, beds unreal, best sleep for a long time! Everything you could need provided. We had lovely weather so made use of the outdoor seating and firepit. Loved having a kettle provided so we could have a well earned cuppa - and great to have the fridge to keep our wine and beers cool as well as our BBQ food!
Really lovely host and we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more (Lily the dog loved it too)!
Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and enjoy this lovely little peaceful place with a lovely atmosphere, just perfect; thank you for a wonderful stay ♥️

Karen was great. The stay felt very personalised. She was so welcoming and lovely. The room was spotless, I felt like I was in my grandparents house. It was so cosy and homely. She offered to upgrade us to a bigger room but we were really happy in the room we had. It smelled lovely and clean. The decor was beautiful, there were toiletries and fresh milk, chocolate fudge, Easter eggs and fresh flowers in our room! Breakfast was sensational, a massive spread of continental and then a perfect cooked to order breakfast, also a big choice of coffee, tea, juice, including decaf! The staff had organised gluten free cornflakes & bread for me which was really appreciated. The area and the B&B were really quiet and we had a great sleep. This stay was just perfect and we can’t wait to return.

We stayed at the Greyhound Inn at Ganton as it was 18 minutes away by car to Scarborough where we like to go and we got a genious offer with booking.com. We had breakfast and an evening meal there and both were excellent and my gluten free and alternative non dairy milk was catered for.

Great place for a base to explore North Yorkshire and many costal towns. The hotel is a stand alone with nothing around but the golf course. That said once you get there there really is no need to go out anywhere else, the food, beer and wine is good and there is a wonderful garden in which to enjoy your evening.

The location is perfect for getting up and down the East Coast which is why we chose it. But the Greyhound is a real find- the facilities are wonderful, the food is outstanding, and the staff are all helpful and happy to help you, with a sense of humour to boot. We will be back!

Warm welcome on arrival.
Warm welcome on arrival. Beautiful spacious room, on site car parking. Lovely evening meal with great service. Beautiful hearty breakfast to set us up for the day. The only problem we had was is was raining so we couldn't go for a walk, but that wasn't Steve or Sharon's fault, they were both a ray of sunshine 🤓
I booked two twin rooms for one night at the Ganton Greyhound as four of us were doing the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The rooms have been refurbished and they were spacious and comfortable with lovely bathrooms. There was a little bit of traffic noise but not enough to keep me awake. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the evening meal and breakfast were excellent.
A very convenient and easy to find location providing excellent road access for all the main local coastal towns and inland for York, Pickering and other popular attractions. Clearly it is perfect for anyone fortunate enough to be playing Ganton Golf Club or any of the other quality golf courses in the vicinity. A lovely facility with great staff.
Room very large , bed so comfortable, the added bonus of a doggy pack was thoughtful. We stayed for our anniversary, on being shown to our dining table there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers, box of chocolates and a card from Steve, Sharron and the Ganton Greyhound team which was a wonderful gesture. We were given a warm welcome by all the team.
Lovely large room, beautifully furnished. Modern bathroom with a fantastic powerful shower. The bed was super comfy, couldn't ask for more.
Great communication from Steve and Sharon prior to our arrival. Plus great hosts during our stay.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
We would highly recommend the Ganton Greyhound.
The two young ladies who welcomed us and seemed to be running the hotel were excellent. Friendly and extremely helpful. The location is excellent for the wold's way, just a few hundred yards off the path. The hotel was quiet and comfortable particularly the bar area. Food was good value.
Steve & Sharon the owners were lovely, the locals were very chatty too, our girls and dog were welcomed by all. The food was very nice. The location was a great place lots of places to visit. Our girls were interested in the history of the Ganton Greyhound all about Dick Turpin!
The hotel was absolutely fantastic, really spacious rooms with very comfy beds.
Spotless bathrooms, breakfast was fantastic and all the staff are really friendly and accommodating.
We had 10 guests stay across 5 rooms and all of us will be back.
Very comfortable and welcoming hotel. Owners and staff very friendly and accommodating. Ate at hotel on two evenings and breakfast on all three mornings. Could not fault the food in any way and was good value.
The room including bathroom was excellent. The road noise was minimal considering it's proximity to the hotel. The staff were excellent and attentive. The evening meal was exceptional and we'll priced.
The staff was pleasant, and the whole decoration of the hotel was so cute and traditional english countryside style. The surrounding landscape was stunning. Comfy bed.
