We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived.
We arrived early not expecting our room to be ready, but it was which was a bonus.
Rooms were very clean, we booked a small double room and were surprised at how big the room was.
Breakfast was lovely.

We had a large tastefully decorated bedroom It was immediately apparent that the room had undergone a recent renovation, reflecting a high standard.
The mini fridge was a convenient addition for keeping our beverages chilled.
Nice to have a bath rather than a shower with lots of warm water.
Large comfortable bed. Our room overlooked the beer garden. The treble-glazed window ensured that our peace was undisturbed by outside noise.
Plenty of free onsite parking space.
As pet owners, we were particularly appreciative of the hotel’s pet-friendly policy, with only a nominal £20 additional charge for our dog. All the staff who were very friendly and made a fuss of our dog.
The evening meal was good, and breakfast freshly cooked to order.
The proximity of a Co-op store just a few minutes’ walk away was incredibly convenient for picking up snacks and essentials.
We would stay here again.

Gargrave is only a small village but there is a supermarket, garden centre and a few shops and places to eat and drink. It depends what you want from a holiday. If you're looking for "lively" then this is not the place for you. If you're happy with peace and quiet then this is it. Skipton is a lovely town to visit, especially when the market is on. If you have a car, a trip to Boundary Mill at Colne is highly recommended. You can spend a good few hours there browsing around the store. We ate at our hotel every night so cannot recommend anywhere in Gargrave to eat.

A quiet location, the local people are friendly and the eating establishments excellent. When the river is low, below the bridge leading to the Church, you can see and paddle on an old Roman road. The Co-op is well provisioned for those eating in and there is a pharmacy if needed. Ideally located to explore the Dales we visited Ribblehead, Hawes & Malham Cove.

There was nothing to dislike at Gargrave, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent, we didn't always have dinner at the restaurant, ate in the bar sometimes and food was good. Drinks rather expensive and if staying for a week or more can turn out very expensive as spa etc are all extras. Will visit again.

All of the rooms are on the ground floor making disabled access very easy and convenient to the reception and dining room. Gargeave is in beautiful countryside and the hotel is set well back from the main road, well lit and quiet.
On a future visit I would look for a more atmospheric local restaurant in which to dine.

Absolutely everything!
The location in Gargrave village is fabulous. A very quick walk to the pub, shop, country walks and canal walks.
The house itself is just wonderful. Incredibly clean and well appointed. The decor is lovely and it has everything you could need for any length of stay. The welcome basket and treats make you feel very special.
The owner is very friendly and super helpful. It’s a huge bonus that we can bring our dog also. And there are even supplies and treats for them too!
Bailey Cottage is based in great location, Gargrave is a lovely village with plenty places to eat, train station and bus connections. The Cottage itself is very specious and well equipped. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, cottage gave us an opportunity to feel comfortable and chill our walks. Not far from Malham (famous Malham Cove walk), great connection to Skipton too (you can walk alongside Leeds- Liverpool canal). Bailey Cottage is highly recommended with every aspect.
A charming cottage, it’s really well equipped for a holiday let, far better than others we have stayed in. The wood burner adds to the character and charm. We’re likely to book again. The location is great, Gargrave itself has lovely walks from the door with easy access to the wider Dales. The Masons arms is a really good pub, great food. The old Swan was handy.
Gargrave is a lovely friendly village with great road connections to all possible Yorkshire walks. Quite a few starts at the doorstep of the cottage. The cottage is in a quiet location but close enough to the main road. The rooms are spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. The kitchen has everything you need, including coffee pods for the Nespresso machine :)
Cottage was very welcoming, comfortable and homely with a high standard of fixtures and fittings. Very cosy when fire is lit. Exceptional bathroom with very comfy bath.
Gargrave is a charming village with easy access to the Dales and immediate access to the very picturesque section of the Leeds Liverpool Canal.

Gargrave is a very nice village with 2 pubs serving good food. Th village green, directly outside the property is very popular and a great place to exercise your dog.
