The room was lovely, with a nice view from the bedroom.
The shower was also incredible, we wanted to take it with us 😂
Thank you for having us, the pub is also lovely, very nice food and very pretty/relaxing ambience inside. We expected to go to Penrith for the evening but couldn't get a taxi, they squeezed us in to eat too. Thanks again for that too 😁

A delightful village with access to everywhere in lakes and surrounding areas. Great history and even has a training stables- lovely to see the racehorses out every morning in the village.
The Boot and Shoe is ran by the characterful Ben and Jan and their wonderful staff - nothing is a problem for them. Very welcoming.

Evening meal in The Boot and Shoe was very nice and service was very efficient and friendly. Breakfast in the pub was absolutely superb, as good as any I have experienced. Room was a bit tired but clean and comfortable. Bathroom needs better ventilation.

This is a great place to stay a stones throw away from the lake district national park. In fact its even better than staying in the heart of the lakes because its quieter, less hussle and bussle and the scenery is wonderful. Fabulous walks and pubs all very local and friendly.
This village pub is situated on the green in Greystoke. The village itself is charming and quiet but within easy reach of the M6 - ideal for us as this was a stopover travelling south from Scotland. We arrived on a busy Saturday evening and the friendly staff were welcoming and helpful despite facing a crowded bar and restaurant. Once settled we enjoyed decent pub food and a drink. Breakfast was good the next morning.
We got a very warm welcome as soon as we arrived.
After 3 days, we felt a part of the place.
The food was exceptional. I felt very at home and relaxed. If you like posh hotels, this isn't for you. If you like real people and a cosy country vibe, this is the perfect place. We will definitely be back again.
Just what we needed.
Really liked our stay at Beech House. Jill was fantastic host & great breakfast. House full of character Room we stayed in was warm & easily accommodated family of three. Also really liked the village of Greystoke where B&B is located. Lots of history & character, including local pub.
We had a fantastic time at Beech House for our two night stay. Greystoke is a fantastic location with things to see very locally but central
enough for travel to Carlisle, Hadrians Wall, Keswick and Windermere. Jill was an amazing host and the breakfasts really set you up for the day.
3rd or 4th time staying here, and now planning my retirement (in 30 years) in Greystoke just so I can call this my local. Exceptionally warm and genuine hosts, room clean + comfortable. Excellent value for money. Food brilliant, dog friendly, location excellent. Love this pub.
Boot & Shoe Inn was ideally located for our group, who were par-taking in a Charity bike ride. The Hotel were extremely accommodating offering us secure bike storage upon arrival.
Rooms comfortable, evening meal offering very good, and full English Breakfast available.
Beech House is a traditional B&B. Our lovely host made a superb breakfast and was very friendly. We had dinner at the Boot & Shoe, well within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this property for Greystoke or as a base for the Lake District.
Lovely B&B. Stayed for a night on the way to Scotland. Would have liked to stop for longer, the village of Greystoke is very interesting and a nice area for exploring the countryside. The local pub does a good meal.
Family rooms are good size.
One night stop over with 3 adult sons and dog on way home from Scotland. Location is stunning, meal and breakfast great and I loved my room where I could sit in bed with a cup of tea and watch the laid back pace of Greystoke. Very peaceful.
Fantastic location in a beautiful very peacrful village. We were on a motorcycle holiday and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent, with very large portions.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean.
Greystoke is a lovely village and the pub is the centre. The pub seems always busy and has a good atmosphere. Good choice was limited however what we had was good. The staff all seemed really friendly.
A quiet small pub in the middle of beautiful country. Great food and friendly staff. Must be good - this was our second visit to The Boot and Shoe. We had the most enjoyable time in Greystoke.
