Excellent barn conversion property in a sleepy location with a lovely back garden for use if required. Parking around the back is nice as well . The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean with a nice modern en suite . Entry is via a private back door which gives it a more apartment like feel . There is also a microwave and toaster as well as a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee . There is also a separate toilet for use in the hallway or lobby . Really enjoyed our far too short stay and hopefully will return 😊
Sleek design is coupled with period charm at the Lavenham Great House in rural Suffolk. This 5-star hotel and restaurant provides stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi and a complimentary decanter of sherry.

Booked a room with our little dog between xmas and new year, Immediately greeted by very friendly manager who spotted our faces fall when told there was "some trouble with the heating in the room you've booked".... "but don't worry" he said "we've upgraded you to the suite"...PERFECT! And what a lovely suite it was, very quaint, copper bath in the bedroom, large modern shower room, and a separate sitting room, delightful. Had a lovely meal in part of the restaurant where dog was allowed to join us and spent rest of evening in the friendly bar, altogether a lovely experience.
Overlooking Melford Hall, The Mill offers spacious rooms in the centre of Long Melford.

A warm welcome on arrival. The accommodation was excellent, the rooms spacious. Very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was excellent, a bonus having the table to ourselves. A real gem and we will be returning. Lots to see in the locale and good information given by hosts re local places to visit, eat etc.

Didn't go into the village this time, but there is a nice church, a village green, and the Crown Inn does an honest pint and a good dinner - don't miss the coins nailed to the fireplace in 1914 and 1939 by those local lads going off to fight in the world wars who didn't return to spend them...

Very quaint village. The Green is picturesque and quiet.
Very quaint village. The Green is picturesque and quiet. The Pub (the Crown), which is set back from the Green, was very welcoming, had a wide range of drinks available and the food very well cooked. It has a large outside area to relax within. There are plenty of fields to walk dogs and from the hills there are picturesque views to appreciate.
Bring a torch as there is little street lighting around the Green.
There is only a butcher's shop in Hartest and the nearest town with grocery shops is 4 miles away
