Hawarden near Chester, hotel in Hawarden

Featuring garden views, Hawarden near Chester provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 11 km from Chester Racecourse.

Private annex extension with a lot of personality, own entrance, hallway, and bathroom. The garden is shared but it felt like that was private too. Fridge, microwave and toaster in room along with big TV and even record player, cd player and dvd player with draws filled with CDs and dvds.. Lovely place to stay, you can tell the owners have gone to town to make it a great place to stay..

Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa, hotel in Hawarden

A 15-minute drive from Chester's historical centre, Grosvenor has a spa, a pool and a gym. Near the Welsh border, Grosvenor Pulford has free Wi-Fi, spacious rooms and beautiful grounds.

The food in the Nelson bar was nice but overpriced. £12.50 for a panini room service or not is excessive. Our room was comfortable and with a nice bathroom but the shower screen leaked all over the floor. The bed was spacious but hte room overheated and pillows very hard, I think that is where they keep the coal!

Situated just 3.2 kms from the city centre of Chester, this 3-star country-house hotel is set within nice grounds.

Staff worked hard and were attentive but understaffed. Bedding and towels clean and of a good quality. The spa was good (although steam room was out of order) and the only redeeming feature of the hotel

The perfect stay in our apartment had everything we needed. We had dinner at the fox and grape which was lovely and very friendly. We also had lots of walk at bilberry woods just down the road which was beautiful.

Location - great, facilities - great. Would love to return in the Summer and make the most of the garden, outside table and chairs, and barbecue. Overall a really great apartment in a quiet location but with pubs, cafes and restaurants, and local shops within walking distance.

There is so much to see around the area, it is not far from Chester, or the Welsh resorts of Rhyl and Llandudno- there are plenty of amusements for the children, and plenty of lovely eating places too. On the whole the people are extremely friendly.
