The room was very clean and the kitchen really useful. The complimentary breakfast was great since we arrived on bikes, and a good amount for our three-night stay. Juice, milk, coffee, tea, sliced bread, honey, jam, butter and cereal. We would have preferred wholemeal bread rather than white, but that’s personal preference. Close to lots of beautiful sights and pubs.

The unit was clean and tidy and provisioned with a range of breakfast cereals, bread and spreads and orange juice for breakfasts during the stay. There was also plenty of on site parking available. The unit was set back from the road , so there wasn't much traffic noise.

Food was amazing. Lovely bathroom products and lots of personal touches made the stay memorable. Good location for visiting many sights. Main drawback was no overhead ceiling shower due to ceiling height, so shower had to be handheld, which made hair washing tricky.

Hawkhurst is a small town, but has the amenities you need such as supermarkets and shops. It is ideally situated for a number of attractions in the area, such as Sissinghurst, Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter etc.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted with comfortable chairs and a coffee, the staff showed what good 'hospitality' looks like. I wish we had been staying longer. The old building is beautiful and full of character, and the rooms and facilities have been updated to a good standard. Charming, welcoming hosts made me feel completely at home. The barn is well equipped for self-catering and is spotless and well maintained. Ideally placed for visits to Great Dixter and Sissinghurst. I loved my stay here and would definitely return!
