The village has one pub but otherwise does not have a lot to offer. However there are some very good country walks and it is idealy located for getting around Constable country and visiting Colchester and Lavenham.PeterGermany

I especially enjoyed the food and service in the restaurant, it was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Although I only used the pool area, the wider fitness centre looked good. The facilities at the hotel are wide ranging. Parking was easy. I understand it has a great golf course too...but I don't play.RichardUnited Kingdom

Although I had a couple of treatments which were excellent. No robes for hotel guests, only those on a spa break wasn't very good either. Also reserved beds in the spa for those on a spa break meant that hotel guests had very few to go round. The hotel is based on beautiful grounds, of which we were able to absorb after taking a walk around the golf course. The view from our room was beautiful (Tamara suite).

Although we weren't able to make much use of them with kids and having commitments in the daytime, the gym looked decent and the pool area had a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Also a big fan of the apple and mango soaps and moisturisers 😂

I found the hotel room to be a little dated and corridors looked a little tired and in need of repair. The breakfast standard did not reflect the price of the stay. It was very basic. I liked the pool area and the back massage I had. Staff were friendly.
