Very pretty building, interior decorated nice. Welcoming property with great views. We got room service in the evening for our meal, which was exceptional standard! Fantastic food couldn't recommend that evening meal enough. Room was very clean and has everything we needed.

Really nice. We booked a suite which was Ideal for our family with separate twin room for the children and large modern stylish bathroom. It's the second time we have stayed in the same suite and would really recommend it.
We had a really good time there and would definitely use again if we are travelling to the area.

Beautiful pub, with clean, comfy rooms with a beautiful view out over the valley. What's not to like?! Great breakfast too.

Creakiest bed I have ever slept in. Unable to order food in the evening. Hadn’t eaten since breakfast. In the morning refused breakfast as hotel was full. Interesting. Had to wait until 14:30 to eat. Nothing open as it was a Sunday. 26 hours without food.

A nice hotel, a short walk from the centre of town with a good fitness club attached. The Bar was also good. The rooms themselves were very spacious with a lovely view over the river towards town.
Stonecross Manor Hotel in Kendal with its excellent leisure facilities which include the recently enhanced indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, has a contemporary boutique feel and has easy...
lovely place for wedding party,
but noisy wedding guests spoiled the stay for me,
traffic noise was an issue too, as dual carriageway on two sides of the property ,
lovely walks close by
lovely staff too
very good restaurant for dinner and breakfast

The staff were excellent, nice and very helpful.
The staff were excellent, nice and very helpful. Breakfast was average and the evening meals were adequate, but the hotel was lovely as you would expect from a country manor house, very quirky too. The room and especially the bathroom are superb, very cleanly kept too,
Would we go back ?
Probably would, It is expensive but for a special occasion it is somewhere we would consider again.

Levens is a pretty little place, narrow roads and lanes require care though it was not busy. I'd recommend the Hare and Hounds as a great place to eat, good food, friendly staff and reasonably priced.

I used Levens as a base and drove out each day to visit other parts of the Lake District. It’s a good location to get out onto the road and drive to other places. There did seem to be a local bus service but I didn’t use this so I’m not sure how frequent the buses are. I’d suggest that you really do need a car if you’re staying here.
The local area also seemed to have good options for things to do - eg Levens Hall.
Levens is a small, pretty village. The Hare and Hounds has parking so it was easy to park next to where I was staying. The pub is a friendly place to spend time.
I had Sunday dinner and breakfasts at the pub - the food is of a high quality and you can tell that great care is taken in preparing and presenting it. It’s good wholesome food.

With very helpful front desk staff, the ambience was relaxing and comfortable. The quality of the rooms (despite paying the upper price of those available) was ok, not that much better than a Premier Inn just smaller. Water pressure in the shower poor to the point that when inverted, the water flow almost stopped. Lots of unmentioned stairs, no lift, uneven car park. The meals were good (breakfast) to very good (a la carte dinner). Drinks reasonable selection but on the upper level of pricing, de rigueur for this sort of location, but within reason. Television remote wasn't working and the two replacements brought up didn't work either. Easy to find and nicely out of the way. if they were aiming for "shabby chic" they aren't far off.
Such a beautiful property and setting, and we can confidently say it’s one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in in terms of the accommodation, staff and value for money. Our room was spacious, spotless and so comfortable. We absolutely loved having the luxurious bathtub in the room! There were also many lovely touches where they went above and beyond in what they provided. On top of that, the staff were absolutely lovely. We couldn’t rate our stay higher and will certainly be staying again!!
Fantastic little village hotel serving excellent food. Our room "Prickard" was just what we needed and had all the amenities that we required for our short stay. The cosy little bar with dining area was very quaint and obviously a favourite with the locals. Staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Food was excellent.
The hotel was very well kept, parking was ample, the outside facilities for the pub were lovely.
The food at the pub was AMAZING! Really well priced too, great service.
The staff were all welcoming, friendly and engaging.
The room was lovely and clean, well appointed, great size.
Overall, fabulous.
Will definitely look to visit again.
Amazing hotel. Immaculately Clean room was very Spacious and So Cosy. Food at dinner and Breakfast was Exceptional. Staff were the most pleasant and friendliest I've ever encountered. We will most definitely be back. Keep doing what you are doing 👏 ❤️ We Absolutely loved our Stay.
Room was furnished beautifully. All meals excellent and staff so helpful and friendly. Ideally located for Levens Hall topiary gardens and for visiting the lakes. All in all, a perfect stay. Look forward to revisiting.
Only problem was we didn't have long enough here so are going to have to re visit. Stayed here but wedding at villa Leven's. Rooms/staff/Breakfast first classing. Nothing not to like thanks
Some of the staff were great and helpful, see below for the opposite.
The driveway, the fields around the hotel look lovely but the building itself looks a bit tatty in places.
We were amongst first guests after lockdown and it was quite obvious that the hotel/staff were in process of opening hotel after a long closure.
Location excellent for lakes.
