the food at the rams head inn was excellent, there was a good choice of both hot and cold food for breakfast, the dinner menu offered fish, meat and vegetarian options and all was cooked to perfection.

This is a very friendly pub, in an appealing thatched setting. Accommodation good; food absolutely excellent. Would recommend this as a place to stay, and just down the road from RHS Rosemoore

Location was perfect for us, attending Bideford Bike Show. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was reasonable size and bed was comfortable. Public areas were quite grand!

We only visited Great Torrington which is a market town a very short drive away. That is definitely worth a visit as plenty to see and a variety of shops, a museum and places to eat. We were using it as a base for a wedding nearby so we didn't go anywhere else as not enough time. Bideford is also close, so for longer stays it is worth going there for more options of things to do.
