Fantastic location, food and staff, always sleep better knowing our motorcycles are safe, the fact we could chain them literally outside the door was great

Longhope was a lovely little part of the countryside and an easy drive to lots of nearby places for delightful villages and woodland walks.
You will want a car to get around further. Local walks are lovely but bring your wellies and a torch!

It was dated, there wasn’t a coffee machine in the room which had been advertised, only a kettle with tea, instant coffee, chocolate. The bed was comfortable and clean. Food very basic. Staff friendly. Shower/bathroom - shower curtain and dated but clean. Having checked an alternative stay whilst in Longhope, which was cheaper, I know I made the wrong choice. The photographs made it look much nicer than it was. I was disturbed (and a little frightened) by another guest knocking on my door late at night. He was a contractor who didn’t speak good English and wanted his food heating up 😳. I had to get out of bed and dressed again in case there was a serious issue. I felt the cursory apology I received from the hotel owner was, quite frankly, insufficient.
Would suit business men/contractors- not lone women travellors.
The location is just perfect, very central and close to lots of places like Gloucester, forest of dean, Tewkesbury but still felt very secluded with magnificent views and very friendly people on the farm.
Our sheheards hut was perfect and incredibly comfortable and a pleasure to stay in for the week. We loved the old cider shed too with our own private bar and lots of quirkiness inside! The bathroom also exceeded our expectations and was better than many hotels!
The owners were friendly and very nice
The place was so beautifully decorated and furnished to a high quality, spotless and homely, we have stayed in so called high end hotels in the past but Blaisdon house surpassed any of them ,5 * is not close to enough of a high rating for this establishment , would recommend a visit as u will not be disappointed and such value for money, the breakfast was amazing, well presented and prepared, everything fresh
Room was a good size and overall clean, carpets and blinds have see better days, and upon check-in we were warned previous guests had vomited in the room However we shouldnt now notice a smell 😳
Struggled with communication with the host via Booking.com prior to check in but sorted eventually via text. Not a cheap hotel and charged extra for early checkin and breakfast making it a pricey overnight, but was suitable for us.
The bedroom was very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room looked out over the grass and trees at the back of the hotel and was quiet. We had dinner in the evening in the restaurant. Steak pie and chips was good. My steak was a bit tough and the chips could have been browner and crispier, but overall the food was ok for the price and the portions were huge.
The staff were efficient and extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The evening meal was well cooked, presented and delicious. I had a most comfortable stay and the hotel is ideal for dog owners with perfect rooms and a footpath to beautiful countryside right next to it. A well run, thriving business that deserves to do well
All Staff & food..incredible! Fantastic welcome. Room immaculately clean & comfortable. A rustic Pub/restaurant olde world, oak beams, real character to the place, fortunately chosen oven plush hotel in Gloucester. Phil & Team - Thank you all very much.
I would gladly recommend and look forward to a future visit.
The Hotel 🏨 was amazing, lovely room & restaurant, delicious food. Very friendly & welcoming staff. It was very clean & excellent value for money. Would thoroughly recommend to others & feel it should be upgraded on booking.com.
Will definitely return to this fab Hotel 😍
