Morecambe has a good selection of restaurants and the oldest pub in Lancashire with a very nice atmosphere, a selection of little independent shops you don't find in any town, we very much enjoyed our visit and would like to go back again

I Love Morecambe.
I Love Morecambe. There is a good community feel about Morecambe. i have wonderful Tai reasonably priced massages when I am there. There are street plantings and lots of seating. Good charity shops. Very good eating places. Lots of inspiring street art. The Morecambe bay views and sunsets are fantastic and the northern lights can be viewed from there. We ate plant based food at the Midland Hotel which was reasonably priced. It is easy to get around. the buses are regular and you can get rides in pony traps. I would never go to The Clifton hotel again but it was cheap.

Some of it has been regenerated but it still needs a lot of money investing to bring it up to scratch.
There are very few places to eat at night.
Pubs and bars are run down.
Hopefully the Eden Project will inject new life into it.

Morecambe is in poor shape.
Morecambe is in poor shape. Boarded up and derelict buildings abound. Much of it has the feel of rougher areas of Manchester rather than a coastal resort almost in the Lake District. It also seems too spread out. Instead of the main things being centred around one area, they seem to be dotted about here and there, in a strange, disjoint way.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, front facing and the bathroom was well appointed. The evening meal was terrific, with a nice selection on offer and the portions were large. The breakfast was outstanding especially the large full Morecambe Hotel, kept me going until late evening.
The hotel has a lovely area out the back with tables and chairs really nicely finished and even has a little childrens' play area.
The room was small, but the view across Morecambe Bay to the mountains was wonderful. We thought the staff members were all lovely. They were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. It was great to be able to store our bicycles in an empty room near Reception. The breakfast was good - ample and with plenty of choice and good coffee. We cycled each day, starting on the cycle path just yards from the hotel, on the promenade.
Very clean rooms, and excellent, friendly service. Room was comfortable, and the rooms with a view have a spectacular view across Morecambe Bay. As it says in the description, Craigwell is right on the sea-front, and in the middle of Morecambe. Also, good wifi for a B&B or hotel and, last but definitely not least, darn good breakfast, too!
The staff at this hotel can not be commended enough.
Amazing people and I , Mrs Metcalfe cannot thank you enough for your kindness and generosity in our hours of need.
We will return in the future to experience your lovely hotel and service to celebrate my husband Kevin's last wishes.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️
Everything! David is so thoughtful! Beautiful accommodation, location and very friendly. Nothing was too much. The couple that are there for breakfast are lovely too! ( Sorry didn't get their name) Will be back again! If you're looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to stay in Morecambe, you won't regret this choice!
The room was a little dated but clean and well appointed and good for the rate. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet served in a dining room with a view of Morecambe Bay. Parking on the street is free. It is located within walking distance of the Platform venue. Also convienient for the Lancashire coastal walk.
This is an iconic hotel. Those who have not watched the tide come and go should surely visit. We had lovely room overlooking the Bay. Its a wonderful art deco hotel and deserves much better ratings. The view from the dining room is sensational. Worth going to Morecambe just to stay at the Hotel.
Lovely touch from the hosts with birthday balloons and wine left for us. Home is lovely and clean and longe area very spacious. Bed rooms once reached max occupancy is a bit snug. Good location for morecambe. Due to the time of year didn't get to try any facilities but seemed a nice park
The room was clean, fully equipped. Breakfast was rich, great choice. The staff is great. The owner helped us with luggage to the room.
If my husband and I were to visit Morecambe again, I would definitely choose this hotel again. I can only recommend it.
Great friendly hotel, the lady who we saw first was very helpful and accommodating, Thank you for a lovely stress free stay! Clean rooms and comfortable bed, we will be staying again next time we are over in morecombe.
Everything was fine about the hotel - a quite grand old building, which had been kept in good repair, situated on the promenade, with a good view of Morecambe Bay, courteous and helpful staff.
-The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The room was a good size and well heated. glorious view over Morecambe Bay. We ate dinner one night, excellent wine and good steaks.
Superb room with a breathtaking view over Morecambe bay and the Lake District in the background. Charming and attentive hosts and marvelous breakfast. Brilliant stay all round.
Excellent location and easy parking either using the hotel or the car park opposite. Friendly and helpful reception staff.
Room was very clean, tidy with a comfortable bed.
Highlight was the view of Morecambe Bay from our room. Rather quaint, old-fashioned, seaside hotel with evening cabaret entertainment by a solo performer. Friendly staff.
