Comfortable room with cooking facilities at a good price when booked last minute ; so pretty good value for money. Cheaper than a popular chain or motels in the area and with cooking facilities too (although there is an onsite eatery).

ISUITES, hotel in Newcastle under Lyme

ISUITES enjoys a location in Newcastle under Lyme, 24 miles from Buxton Opera House and 29 miles from Tatton Park.

tucked in a branching road from the main road which was nice and less noise. They led me to a brief tour upon arrival. I had a single room with private bathroom. Luckily the separate bathroom was on the same floor. A communal kitchen was also there for use. Well equipped room with a TV as well. Bed was comfortable with warm duvet. Everything was kept clean and nice. Overall a wonderful experience.

The Wheatsheaf Inn, hotel in Newcastle under Lyme

Located in Onneley, 9 miles from Trentham Gardens, The Wheatsheaf Inn provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

The opportunity to stay somewhere that wasnt the standard cookie cutter budget hotel was grasped, the location suited the journey that I was on, good car parking ( plenty of room) was warmly welcomed, the room was clean & tidy, looked like the bathroom had recently been refurbished, friendly bar staff, good evening meal selection with local produce giving it that extra flavour - lashings of hot water for a shower & well above average breakfast ( especially if you are a meat eater)

Not much to do here and fairly run down like any other city in the Midlands, but have enough facilities if you visit nearby places like Trentham Garden or Keele University. Fairly good connection by bus and private vehicle, but a bit difficult to arrive by train (need to arrive at Stoke-on Trent station and need a bit of bus ride).

Liked There was everything you needed at hand .... the kitchen was small but compact , there was cutlery , frying pan , pan and plates microwave, hob ... tea , coffee and sugar but NO milk had to go shop down the road and buy it. Reason was because of covid , but all other hotels I've stayed does provide this ... bathroom small but convenient, shower basin wasn't cleaned ! Small sofa was fairly comfortable... THE BIGGEST ISSUE WAS THE BED . WAS 2 SINGLES PUSHED TOGETHER, very shocking and a bit dangerous I thought , there was a big gap in the middle , i love to toss and turn at night but kept waking up so didnt get hardly any sleep for my 2 night stay . my boyfriend who lives near by ended up going home instead !! There was no where to eat on sight either , I will not be using this hotel again ....

Very well organised and a nice welcome on our arrival.

Very well organised and a nice welcome on our arrival. Key code access to allocated areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Large room, nice facilities, very decent bathroom (large), with corner bath and shower (great pressure), and plenty of hot water. Fridge (with cold milk supplied - nice touch), and a courtesy tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, sugars and sweeteners. Would highly recommend, fairly priced and well worth the money. Will definitely stay again, should the occasion arise.

    It's a lovely little town.

It's a lovely little town. Beautiful flower baskets and little craft stalls on weekends. It felt safe. Well maintained parks and recreation areas. A good selection of shops and restaurants. Overall, it is a relaxing town. There are homeless people begging, but they're not aggressive the way they are in other towns.

We stayed Monday night we went out for food and a look around the town most food places were already closed. Including McDonald’s and the ones that were open didn’t serve food after 9pm which is an average time. We did find a little Italian restaurant which was ok, loverly little place but the pasta and sauces dishes weren’t homemade from scratch. My daughter said dolmio has more flavor lol.
