We stayed on a Sunday night and benefitted from a very generous discount on a one bedroomed apartment. We paid separately for breakfast, which although not cheap was excellent. Whilst we did not make use of all the club's facilities, from what we saw these appeared excellent and were included in the price.
Offering barbecue facilities and garden view, Little Trenoweth is set in Saltash, 12 km from Port Eliot Gardens and 14 km from Cathedral Church of St Mary and St Boniface.

It's a fantastic little self-contained chalet/cabin (not sure which word best applies) with everything you could possibly need to relax in the peaceful Cornwall surroundings. There's a kitchenette with a microwave, kettle, sink, plenty of cutlery, plates, a bottle opener, a fridge etc. There's access to a BBQ if you want it (and are lucky with the weather) plus a pleasant and private decked area where you can eat and chill out in the open air if you want. Inside there's a decent sized bedroom with a internet-connected TV. The bed is warm and comfy and the shower (often a bugbear) is hot and has great water pressure, so no problems there. The location is very peaceful with only the occasional, very distant sound of trains passing and lots and lots of birdsong. It's almost like a live-in hide to be honest and the owners have thoughtfully provided binoculars so you can birdwatch if you wish. All you can see for miles and miles is green fields and trees and animals. The owners were lovely, friendly people. I would highly recommend it for anybody who wants a quiet bolthole where they can just contemplate the sights and sounds of the English countryside, perhaps while savouring a few glasses of wine?
Featuring garden views, Cornwall Tranquil Retreats provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 11 km from Cathedral Church of St Mary and St Boniface.

Friendly hosts, great atmosphere. They gave us free bacon eggs and milk for breakfast which was very kind. Very clean, everything you need in the Shepards hut. We’ve stayed in a few shepards huts before but this was by far our favourite.

Room was actually the tower suite, totally exceeded our expectations, the room was bright, clean and comfortable, up a small spiral staircase was the tower with a table and chairs to sit at, with amazing views.
Food was delicious both evening meal and breakfast. Would defo stay again

Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice and it was hot. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Location is ideal. Hotel is very clean. Room facilities were very good, nice having an iron and not having to ask. Good towels as well.
For what I saw, it is an area of outstanding beauty.

The village area is absolutely beautiful. I wish I booked our stay at Saltash itself.

We stayed at a village called St Dominick in the Tamar Valley. We visited Cotehele, a superb National Trust property. We also took a trip on the Tamar Valley railway line - very reasonably priced and an interesting journey which takes you across the Calstock viaduct, The area has a lot to offer with walks and views. Some great pubs too. You are not far from Plymouth so plenty of places to visit. Definitely recommended for a short break.

A fantastic, cosy, well equipped bungalow perfect for a family or two families to share. Set amongst idyllic Cornish woodland, the site itself has leisure facilities for young children, whilst retaining a calm and tranquil atmosphere. Location wise you are walking distance from the local pub, a short drive from others, within 20 minutes of Plymouth for any aspect of city life you may desire and half an hour of the picturesque coastal villages of Polperro and Looe. Absolutely magic!
If travelling in a cooler time of year the log burner would be great, however visiting in summer as we did we made use of the outside space and furnishings.
Attentive host who checked we had everything we needed midweek, we are looking to stay again as soon as possible.

It's the gateway to Cornwall.
It's the gateway to Cornwall. Once we crossed the line, we were suddenly and delightfully rural. We felt like we could breath again. It was clear that everyone we met wanted us to see their part of the world and love it as they did. We visited Polperro and Lanhydrock which made for a full and beautiful day. Our hosts recommended The Halfway Inn for dinner and it was good hot wholesome food and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The barn was spotless and very tastefully done. Sas was very friendly and helpful and responded quickly to messages.
Lovely quiet location. It was very handy to have an enclosed garden for the dogs.
Access is up a grass slope with stepping stones, so would have to be able bodied. Lovely bedrooms downstairs with a bathroom and a unique feature through the opposite window!
The living area is upstairs with a lovely kitchenette and ample living space, comfortable sofas and a dining table.
We would definitely recommend it. Thanks Sas!
The spa and pool were clean and well managed. The food was fine / edible. The flat we had was pretty old spec (as photos show, so we were expecting this) but well equipped and it has a lovely little outside area. Beds very comfy. Perfect stop gap for what we needed. The on-site adventure golf (extra cost) was great fun and the fairy walk was really sweet. Most staff were polite abs helpful, only one grumpy one. The hotel front desk receptionist was particularly helpful and smiley.
Great location for visiting friends in Saltash / Cornwall, would also be great base for exploring Plymouth and surrounding areas. Very comfortable, modern house with everything you need for a self catered stay (although we did eat a few times at the amazing 'Foreign Muck' restaurant in Saltash), including kitchen utensils, dishwasher etc. The house was spotlessly clean, and definitely exceeded expectations.
Host was generous, making the stay wonderful. She provided homemade pastries and bread, homemade jams, farm fresh eggs, local meats from a boutique butcher, and plenty of firewood for the fireplace. When putting together food for us she even inquired to food allergies. It was clean, bright, and downright adorable; my wife and I plan to recommend this place to everyone interested in staying in Cornwall.
We love the China Fleet Club. Whenever we travel over from the US to visit family in Cornwall and Plymouth we try to stay here. We love the amenities and kids especially loved the driving range on this visit. We don't rent a car, but haven't had any issues getting a taxi to take us into Plymouth, or drop us off at Saltash train station. Restaurant is great too.
Everything about Friars Rest is just so good. Staff ate great, friendly, nothing, too much trouble, food is excellent and "proper portions". Friers Rest is well designed with good taste and some very good ideas and surprises, the night light for the stairs, for example.
The area is ideal for getting around most of Cornwall.
Excellent pool and aqua spa facilities. Nice to have a daily option of servicing of apartment with fresh linen and towels whenever necessary. Comfortable bed and modern bathroom, though shower pressure is low. Basic kitchen implements provided, which were adequate for simple cooking, though not an extensive range.
Tilly and Kerry were lovely really friendly and welcoming, gave great local suggestions throughout our stay (Tracey and the Cows made great neighbours). The accommodation was perfect for us and in a great location with easy access to explore the rest of Cornwall and Devon.
For the money it was a really, really good stay in a great location. We were racing mountain bikes and it was a solid base with everything you could need.
The palace has loads of space, it was really well layout out as a building and was very relaxing.
We had two rooms, one with two single beds and the other with a double bed. They both were clean and tidy. And it was worth the price.
The owner was polite and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Saltash.
Home from home and all our needs provided for cooking and keeping the cottage clean. It was lovely sitting out on the patio in the evenings. So very dog friendly- the best welcome for dogs so far this year (lockdown puppy).
The cottage was lovely, had everything we needed apart from iron. Host was lovely. Would defo recommend. Very close for plymouth and torpoint. Great base for weekend and about 45 minutes from torquay .
Hotel manager was pleasant and willing to help as much as possible but this could not overcome the inadequacies of the room facilities and hotel service in general.
The bungalow was homely, spacious, well equipped and clean. It was our second visit to 20 Notter Bungalow. Lovely park and close to places we wanted to visit.
The Country club set up is excellent with a great golf course and onsite facilities, the apartment was spacious and clean. Very helpful staff throughout.
