What a brilliant find. Stopover whilst travelling north. We had 2 rooms, one of which was the Balmoral 4 bed room. It’s huge and beds very comfy. Fantastic view. The breakfast is amazing. Rob was so welcoming when we arrived late. The lady at breakfast is really nice and we loved that you picked what you wanted so less food waste and all picky kids could have what they wanted. We will definitely be back if we are on this route again. Thanks so much for a lovely stay 🤩

In general this is potentially a first rate hotel. The staff were friendly and the service faultless. The menu choices and food were well up to standard.

I have stayed here before. Decent price and the room was spacious, comfortable and quiet (at the back of the hotel not facing the main road), good pub food and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely central and ideal for exploring Banchory. Shops, other pubs/hotels, restaurants, cafes and one supermarket within a very short walking distance which was most convenient. Maybe not the most modern of showers (combined shower/bath) and the water pressure was low, but it was okay for me. I will be booking again because I am a regular visitor to Banchory.
With a picturesque setting on the banks of the River Dee, this charming Scottish mansion dates back to 1225 AD, and was once home to the Knights Templar.
Very quiet and remote.
Lovely views.

None working bar but can bring your own drinks, and no evening meals.
Plenty of places serving meals in the local villages nearby.
Ensuite rooms, everything you need, plenty of towels.
Clean and Comfortable.
Would definitely book again if visiting locally.
