I liked the location for a family-friendly place....a phenomenal beach is within walking distance, the bus stop to the main city is not far and there is a super market for individuals who have a longer stay. We only stayed three nights as we wanted to see Milos before going home but I like to travel slower and would have liked to stayed a couple days longer in Syros and saved Milos for another trip. Our room was surprisingly large, quiet, with a small balcony and although it didn't have a hair dryer I was issued a very nice one to use for my stay after I made a request.

The terrace was spacious and pretty private to enjoy some leisure time and the swimming pool (although too small) was necessary because of the windy weather, so the kids enjoyed it for a couple of days. The free parking area was a really nice surprise!

A family-only hotel with no consideration for couples The staff, with the exception of those present in the morning, are rude to foreigners Our room was outdated, not enough plugs for example, as was the bathroom with a tub that did not drain water Our room was next to a cleaning ladies' equipment store, as a result every morning at 08:15 at the latest we were woken up by the slamming doors and then by the voices of the cleaning ladies Our balcony was never sunny, for a customer staying for a fortnight I expected a better-exposed and better-kept room. Quite beach with fine white sand and magnificent landscape as surroundings. Children friendly beach - no deep water. Typical tavernes with fresh food at 50m. of the beach. Different small shops in the main street. Awfull view on the top of the hill at the St. Pakou chapel.

There are a variety of tavernas to suit all budgets and Barok is probably one of the friendliest bars you could ever find. there is a bus service that can take you around the islands beaches and into town. It is a calm place in comparison to Kini or Poseidonia and the location is perfect for a quick trips around (except of the ones mentioned above also Delfini or Foinikas, easy to get to Ermoupolis as well). Very nice central beach and a small hidden one called Armaios if someone is after more privacy and nature. We were very satisfied with this location.

The bus stop is right outside the hotel front door so easy to travel around the island. The staff were so friendly, and went out of their way to care for my son who injured hurt his foot whilst we were there. Breakfast was great, and the food we ate a lunch times was lovely and reasonably priced. We have never been so sad to leave a hotel, we were treated like family! We will definitely be going back!
