It's not the best hotel we stayed at, but Andritsaina doesn't offer a lot of choice. (And you definitely don't want to be driving on the mountain roads in the dark! So staying in Andritsaina is your main option after a trip to Bassae.)
The building's modernist architecture makes it an interesting museum piece now. Despite the unpromising appearance of the hotel, room was adequately equipped. Breakfast was better than expected. Andritsaina looks shabby at first, but authentic.

It’s a tastefully renovated village property. The bedrooms are comfortable and pleasant. The little breakfast room has a cosy wood burning fireplace, ideal as it was only April. It’s setting in the village is an added bonus, with easy access by road. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I travelled with 4 friends (so 5 people in total): we booked 2 rooms (a triple and a double) and we got them one near the other as we asked. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel and it was easy to reach from the main road. We arrived late in the night, the reception was closed but they left our keys on the desk. My triple room was spacious with a small bathroom and a balcony. The breakfast was tasty and with a lot of choices.

Was my birthday and the thoughtful host upgraded our rooms and even had a birthday cake prepared for me! Beds were comfortable and breakfast spread of Greek and western hot/cold food was excellent. The common lounge had a fireplace lit and it felt like we stayed in a warm traditional Greek family home which came with 2 large dogs! Parking on the property was super convenient and great location with easy walk to lots of eateries, shops and supermarket nearby.
The beachfront Ostria Hotel Kakovatos is set on Kyparissia Gulf and offers direct access to the organized beach of Kakovatos.

It's a no-frills beach hotel. It looks quite stylish (Art Deco?) from the outside. Easy to find from the main road - take the turning for Kakovatos Beach, and keep heading for the sea.
It was very quiet in May. Hardly anyone on the beach. No problem getting served in the restaurant across the road. No other hotels on the shore front here.
Breakfast not fancy, but adequate.
We stayed here one night, after visiting Ancient Olympia. The coast road is excellent, and we would consider this hotel as a base, if we decide to visit this area again.
We're not beach connoisseurs, but it was fun to try the sun loungers, listen to the waves from our balcony, and watch the sun go down.
