Location - It's in Central Jakarta and easy to connect with every location. This is my second stay in this hotel
Service - Excellent. Receptionist can converse in Good English
Hygiene & Clean - Overall good. Daily housekeeping and they are very understanding and respectful of your privacy
Breakfast - Variety of options for morning breakfast unfortunately due to some health reasons during my stay in the hotel, I was unable to enjoy the breakfast well. Not your fault, it's my own bad situation.
Others - Bed is fine. You have a multi/universal socket inside the room. I got a far-end room near the corridor window. I requested as per my first visit. No disturbance from other occupants and could say it is soundproof. Outside Food is allowed. Have almost 30+ TV Channels. The AC works well according to your preference. You have a table to work and to have meal with USB and charging port beside. Good WIFI connection
Water - Good Water Pressure.
I highly recommend this hotel for leisure or business.

Indonesia’s capital, sprawling Jakarta has hurtled into the 21st century at a startling rate. Rapidly expanding, it is an eclectic mix of cultures with an electric clubbing scene including the EX at Plaza Indonesia mall and those near Blok M mall, popular with expats. Jakarta shopping is great, with modern malls all over, interspersed with traditional markets, some underground.
Thousands of Jakarta restaurants and cheap street food offer many choices. Little Japan is best for sushi (and karaoke), while colourful Chinatown has fantastic dim sum. Buzzing around all are bajaj, Indonesia’s equivalent of tuk-tuks.
The main Jakarta sights include Monas National Monument in green Merdeka square. Spectacularly lit at night, it has a deck with fantastic city views. Opposite is the presidential palace, patrolled by the national guard. The oldest part is Batavia – the city’s Dutch Colonial name – and is home to the Jakarta History Museum.
Away from the bustle is Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, a suburban park celebrating Indonesia’s rich culture through museums, dance and film, centred around a large lake with Indonesia-shaped islands. Ancol Dream Park also features waterparks, beaches and amusement rides.
Traffic can be manic, so leave time after checking out of your Booking.com accommodation in Jakarta to get to Soekarno Hatta or Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
Chinatown, Kota Tua, the National Monument and shopping...
Chinatown, Kota Tua, the National Monument and shopping malls especially in Kelapa Gading are well worth a visit. Apart from that, there is really nothing else to see and do within the city. I do recommend getting a taxi to Halim Station and taking a journey on the "Whoosh" high speed train to Bandung and have a look around. Bandung is well worth a visit for shopping, Braga Street, Jalan Asia-Africa and Gedung Sate.
One has to be careful when choosing a place to eat. Street food is full of risk - despite it being cheap. I ate Sio-may from a hawker and had diarrhoea for 4 days. Restaurants and food outlets in hotels and malls are the safest, along with any other clean, well known outlets.
Travelling in Jakarta itself is a nightmare. Traffic jams and delays make a relatively short distance journey, take a very long time. There are plenty of taxis and gojek - motorcycle taxis.
The air quality in the city is apallingly bad. As with my daughter, first came the sore throat, then the persistent dry cough, then the phlegm on the lungs and the coughing throughout the night. The air quality in the city is so bad, it constitutes a health hazard. Any rivers and streams are also heavily polluted - they look disgusting.
They proliferation of beggars and people looking for money especially from European tourists becomes irritating as it can easily turn into an aggressive situation. It's better not to walk anywhere.
Local attitude toward European/Australian/NZ tourists (in fact any white skin tourists) appears on the surface to be one of mild annoyance or in cases aggression. We were shouted at in a shopping mall to go home - very hurtful and embarrassing. My daughter who is married to an Indonesian regularly receives abuse. It seems a significant number of people resent outsiders and those who cannot speak their language.
All in all, we will never return to Jakarta.

Jakarta is very big and not much to see. Other than high buildings in south which is not really my interest. I managed to save my trip by going to north of Jakarta and visit fishermen. I can though recommend the city if you are for shopping and friendly people

I saw a different side to Jakarta this trip as I had a day to do non-work related stuff. Found some amazing independent coffee bars and had an amazing dinner at Le Quartier, a French restaurant with excellent steaks. Definitely recommended for a visit. The only major downside is the traffic which is absolutely horrendous. Pick an area you want to explore and stay around there. I stayed a night in a lovely boutique hotel called the Gunawarman. Highly recommended.

Jakarta, the business city where you can have a choice of...
Jakarta, the business city where you can have a choice of various restaurants in malls and several areas and batik at Thamrin City. The USA Cultural Centre is on the third floor of Pacific Place mall and offers a lot of free events.
I live south of the southern border of Jakarta, so I visit the city a lot. I only stayed at a hotel because I had two events going on in an area and I needed a place to do my powernaps (it would be too far to go home to do the naps).
Jakarta is a business city with interesting places to eat, for example jalan Agus Salim (jalan Sabang) in central Jakarta or jalan Cipete Raya in South Jakarta. The malls also offer a wide range of restaurants.
As for tourism, I like the old city (TransJakarta bus corridor 1). For green lungs I would suggest Ragunan (TransJakarta bus corridor 6) which is also the home of the Zoo. I like the area of Jalan Wahid Hasyim that offiers a wide range of hotels.
Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is a nice open air museum with sample of traditional buildings of almost all provinces of Indonesia, so very nice to take pictures.
Just beware of traffic jams and the odd/even number plate system (ganjil/genap) that is valid from 6-10 am and 4-9 pm in several main streets. We usually don't say, how far is it, but how long will it take me to get there.
The onlline hailing system Gojek or Grab is very useful to have.
If you have to be in Jakarta, go for the food or shopping. If not, better go to Yogja or Bali

If you have a personal-click, if you do need to be there, or if you have things to do its a very interesting city no doubt, If it is only for holiday fly away as soon as possible. Try any other Airport to enter Indonesia and start from there.
I love jakarta! The smell, the people, the vibs and the life and humor. I can't help it I have a personal click and come back over and over again. But I will never promote Jakarta.

It's always interesting to see a nation's capital — but...
It's always interesting to see a nation's capital — but other than that, there's not much to be said for Jakarta. The old city is a bit grim – must likely because the whole city is literally sinking, in particular the waterfront region. There are slums all over the place — as we found out when we accidentally walked into a very dangerous one while searching for a Sim card. We planned for a 48 hour layover just to get a sense for the place, and it was 40 hours too long.
The main enjoyable thing is going to malls. Personally as a European, mall culture isn't really something that's huge where I'm from and I wouldn't normally advocate it. In Jakarta it's a huge part of the culture of the middle class (there's a great Guardian article on the topic) and they're worth seeing. Also because they're pretty much the only enjoyable thing we found to do there.
During my last trip in february I have stayed in Ashley Tang 3 periods of 3 nights. The location is perfect on walking distance of Sarinah Mall and Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia. From 06 pm there are a lot of food stalls on the street with traditional Jakarta streetfood.
The room is spacious with a good bed and a spacious bathroom compared to comparable hotels in this area. Very convenient is the laundry room near the concierge on the groundfloor. The breakfast is good if you like an Asian style breakfast.
We came to the basketball World cup, so we choose this hotel because it is close to Indonesia Arena. And it was good choise. Stay was very comfortable - staff was friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, kitchen is pretty well equipped. Also we liked infinity pool and sauna. Also we liked dining options around hotel - especially local food restaurant Nirmala (you can find it on google maps) and Chucks Cattle - steak house on main street in front of hotel. Also close is Pizza Hut, BarBurger (local burger)
this is the most excellent hotel I’ve ever stay in . I felt like staying in 5 star hotel. from the door they welcoming you well and the security also bellman’s are stay there to help you with your things . receptionist was upstanding thanks to Leony she helped me a lot with all my requests. also she’s really taking care of your needs . I really appreciate it . breakfast was fine . I would love to comeback there !!! this hotel have affordable price with 5 star service
✅The check in was fast & smooth managed by Viana / Vivian whatever but her name starts with V 😍🥰♥️
✅ The breakfast was simple but it's good. I loved their fried noodles.
✅ The rooms was clean & comfy but only the walkaway smells very strong cigarettes.
✅ Was a good location. Easy to access everywhere 😉
✅ Near to Sabang road - Indonesian street food
✅ Recommended! Will return back of course
Thank you! Keep it up Stanley hotel team👍
Maia Hotel is centrally locate and 3 of the most desired malls, i.e Thamrin City, Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia are all within walking distance. The Room Rate and Quality if service is considered acceptable. The breakfast is OK considering the lower Room Rate chargeable. On balance it is a good hotel and if it has a strong team managing the hotel with further improvements the Room Rate couldveven doubled…
The staff was extra helpful and polite, hotel might seem a bit old-fashioned but the room is cozy and has been refurbished to suit the modern era, albeit smaller than most 5 star hotels at this price. Swimming pool & recreational area is definetely the main highlight, very suitable for a big family. Gym is top notch. Only downside is they removed non-halal options for breakfast for no apparent reason.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly. The room was clean, and the beds were good. The location is not far from restaurants and shops. It is located in a lovely, typical Indonesian little gang (street); therefore, the room was quiet. AC works perfectly. There is an elevator, but you must climb some steps to get inside.
Everything was fantastic. Everyone I met in this hotel went above and beyond to make us happy. I can't compare this experience to any other including other JWs. These people are lovely and you will not regret staying here. Asia restaurant is a must and they serve the best breakfast and an amazing dinner buffet.
Breakfast is fresh and decent. The kitchen staff work hard to change their menu everyday. Good city view & fair price. 5min walk to Lotte Mall and 10min to Kuningan City etc. The chicken noodles (mie ayam) place right across the hotel is shockingly delicious, one of the best I've ever had in this country.
The hotel is situated in Central Jakarta and is a perfect hub for exploring the city's finest shopping centres, such as Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia, and Tanah Abang. You can indulge in a wide range of traditional and international cuisine at the nearby restaurants.
The worsted hotel i ever seen. Please remove this hotel from your list. Very dirty, everything is broken. Bathroom looks like a garbage. For free i would like to stay there no more. For western standard i will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
No opinion on breakfast since I never ate breakfast at the hotel. Location is great. Only a short bajaj away to Sarinah and Sabang for food and a short bajaj ride away to Grand Indonesia for shopping and more food options. Love everything
Great hotel, a very pleasant surprise. Good vibe. Modern and comfortable. Very clean. Wonderful staff. Great restaurant on site. Best laundry service on Java. Location is just fine - everything accessible by grab car. Great hotel 🤗
Great place to stay. I loved how it was so close to Grand Indonesia. From the room to the staff to the breakfast, wow just amazing. It has a prayer room and a gym. This hotel was new and felt more like a 4 star.
The check in process was fast and convenient. The staff was helpful and friendly. They provide 4 pillows on the bed, this is great for a budget hotel. Hot water for shower was sufficient.
The breakfast at Sana Sini Restaurant is awesome and marvellous with food varieties. The hotel is strategically located within commercial area and Grand Indonesia Mall opposite the hotel.
The best hotel in Central Jakarta, the breakfast is very good and the staff is exceptional,
Thank you Sigit Pramono for your great service. He is the best.
Great hotel, near everything and the staff was super friendly. Vicky helped us wonderful, he gave us the best welcome in Indonesia we could have gotten
