The staff at the hotel always greeted you with a smile, they were extremely friendly and always happy to help.
The gym was well stocked for those on holiday wishing to exercise, with great views over the golf course.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Having our own vehicle was a must for us as there isn't any town within walking distance, however Limerick junction train station is a 25 min walk from the hotel.
Cahir House Hotel is on the town square, by the River Suir. It has a traditional bar, a bistro and a beauty salon, and offers free Wi-Fi in public areas.

Staff were lovely, food amazing 👏room was lovely
Toilet flooded twice during tge night, I lifted the toilet back to manual flush otherwise tge place would have been destroyed. I told staff when checking out and put towels down incase it happened again without someone noticing. Apart from that our stay was lovely.

We didn’t realize that they have several hiking trails with beautiful views. Would have loved to try one, time wouldn’t allow.
The food in the lounge was wonderful and the servers were very attentive.

Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Didn't like the dark dreary No. 206 twin room and having to carry our hand luggage up two flights of steep stairs as there is no lift.
Hotel needs modernisation and a makeover

Just outstanding!!
Just outstanding!! Location is breathtaking with a fab view of the Glen and the Galtee mountains. Staff were very friendly from start to finish. The only downside was there was no lift, so if you are impaired in any way request a room downstairs. Food was absolutely delicious aswell.

I would not recommend anyone to stay there expecting anything other than a 1 star rating, hotel does not meet IS:3218 :2019 fire standards, this is a requirement by Irish law... no breakfast included in the €105 for one person in a room facing a tree/forest 10 feet from the window. Tiles broken and uneven nearly cut my foot on the sharp edge, when informed staff they didn't really say anything, receptionist barely acknowledged me on departure.

We stayed just one night and we were expecting a peaceful one but even though this hotel is rather remote up in the Galtee Mountains it was far from peaceful. There were doors slamming, alarms going off and noisy TVs heard through the walls.
It would be great for hikers and bikers I’m sure though if they are deep sleepers. We arrived at 7.30pm after driving up very narrow twisty lanes and it took us a good 20 mins from town to find the hotel. We went down for dinner at 8pm only to be told they were running out of food! The restaurant didn’t close until 8.30pm. The choice we eventually got was small due to us being Pescatarian.
The rooms are clean and beds are comfy but the shower over the bath had a clinging curtain which was very irritating. An upgrade would make this place a lovely hotel. The parking was great too as it is onsite, free and plenty of it. The staff were not that welcoming.

Stunning views from the Hotel. Food was fab!
Stunning views from the Hotel. Food was fab! Staff were very friendly & helpful.. Bedrooms were spotless in our lodge with beautiful view from main bedroom with balcony. Downstairs however needed a bit of tlc!
The Lodge was amazing. Big spacious rooms and a beautiful kitchen/ dining room and lounge (all open plan). The balconies were a bonus and the view of the mountains was breathtaking. The lodge was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated and we had all the utensils in the kitchen that we needed. Loved that the bedrooms were en-suite. We ate sometimes in the hotel and was very impressed with the food and the price was reasonable. The seating area outside the hotel is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning.
Quite literally, shelter from the storm! Booked this last-minute using the app when the rain set in on our road trip around Tipperary, and were delighted with what we found. An old fashioned hotel, warm and welcoming with a wonderfully hot bath. We had a corner room boasting close up views of the forest on one side and mountains on the other. Buffet breakfast was hearty with lots of vegetarian/vegan options. Easy parking, fast internet, friendly staff - what more could you want?
Absolutely wonderful B&B! Remote location from Cashel which my wife and I loved. Beautiful patio area and the restaurant attached was very accommodating and very good. Portion sizes are large so be careful! This time of year everything was in bloom and we could not of had a better time. Breakfast was amazing and Mary was very helpful in helping us plan our next two days. We have no question that we will return and for a longer stay.
A good hot breakfast. We didn't stay for dinner as we were out visiting friends. Our room was comfortable, although I found the bed firmer than I am used to. The hotel is pleasantly decorated in a traditional country house way. A lovely view of the mountains from the hotel patio. The hotel is a 15 minute car journey from Bansha which is an easier route than using the mountain road from Tipperary which has a hairpin bend,
The Dinners for the two nights were super, with a great selection of wonderful tasty food, The staff at night were wonderful and the service was great and friendly. The room was nice and the bed was so comfortable. The view was fabulous. Really relaxing and will visit again. The Hotel had character and was clean.
Dinner was delicious and staff were very good and kind. The lodges themselves were clean and well looked after in so far as continuously rented out lodges can be. They had most things you would need for a short or long term stay. Hotel nearby has stunning views out over the valley.
The location was very good , great views and ample parking if a bit of a slope either up or down depending on where you parked. The hotel was a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable and the staff polite and helpful.
We always stay here, we love how peaceful the location is and how it’s only a short drive away from the town. The views and walks around make the stay even more enjoyable. Couldn’t ask for a better hotel or location
The view from the front of the hotel was fantastic. The bed was very comfy and the dining room and bar area are very welcoming. Location was handy for doing some nice walks.
Loved the location and the view! The staff were very accommodating. Also loved the outdoor seating and the food at the restaurant was very good. Rooms were immaculate.
Enjoyed the spectacular views and countryside around the Hotel. Good facilities, comfortable and clean bedroom and bathroom and delicious breakfast in the restaurant.
Fantastic place for a romantic getaway, nestled at the foot of the Galtee mountains. Really scenic and hotel is so comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Beautiful location in the heart of the Glen of Aherlow with lots of walks around. Superb breakfast. The room was a bit outdated but had a nice bathroom
