The appartement is very clean, cosy and central. An authentic middle age location, carefully modernised and converted. The central square (Piaza) is just a steps away, just off the same street. There are at least 3 restaurants nearby (reserve!) and the Trattroria on the main square is an excellent place for a coffee, drink or indeed a meal. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend highly!

The hosts are wonderful. friendly, attentive and professional. The location is calm and tranquil and the feeling of remoteness is palpable but you're only a few minutes drive from the "beaten track" and the villages of Isolabono and Dolceaqua are close by.

Excellent little apartment just on the Apricale main road. Very easy and convenient to find. Also, just at the entrance of the village. If you have heavy luggage, which we didn't (since we only stayed one night), easy to transport. The village is medieval and completely of stone, sometimes steep at times, and lots of steps everywhere! That's the charm but also not for heavy luggage. The apartment is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. There was a bedroom with 2 beds for our daughter and we had the other bedroom. I loved the terrazzo floors, great shower, sitting area, all the balconies with gorgeous views of Apricale and Perinaldo, and the little garden is a plus too for those with little ones or dogs. We ate a delicious breakfast across the street at Apricus Osteria. Owner, Alberto, communicated by WhatsApp from the beginning with photos of how to find the apartment and keys. Since no one else was renting the apartment, he told us we could stay as long as we wanted on check-out day!

A fabulous, genuine, old medieval town, small but with a handful of excellent restaurants and not too many tourists. An excellent centre for a few days touring the fabulous landscapes and other local towns...

Apricale is a delightful hilltop village with fantastic views and scenery. It is also close to seaside resorts and lovely rock pools for bathing. Good restaurants in the village. We dined at Ciassa in the main square and at Apricus on the main road. Both very good. Apricale is quite challenging for any one with mobility problems. We are in our seventies and could manage the steps and slopes, but we are reasonably fit. But we will keep on going back as long as possible.

Myself and my partner will forever remember our wonderful stay at the Apricus Locanda, we both loved absolutely everything about our stay. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfy bed and little added touches (such as fresh herbs placed on our pillows) made us feel warm and cosy from the moment we got there. And the view.. incredible. Hard to take in its so wonderful. The town of Apricale itself is a little gem tucked up the hills, waiting to be discovered. The locals were were lovely and friendly and helped us out with some english when our Italian failed! There is a lovely little back story to the town involving travellers who came, and never left!! But I won't spoil that any further. Theres a handful of lovely restaurants serving delicious Italian food and you can also find delicious bistro type food at the apricus osteria & bar (highly recommend!!) Mostly we would like to thank Aldo and his partner, who took such good care of us throughout our stay. From greeting us when we arrived in our car, to our wonderful breakfast buffets in the morning, being available by phone whenever I had a question or needed a recommendation.. Truly wonderful hosts, thank you. We would ABSOLUTELY reccomend visiting Apricale, and staying at this perfect setting.
Apricale is a special place. We spent 10 nights at this location. Making day trips to Monte Carlo, Nice, and the local villages of Dulceaqua, Isolabona, as well as Ventimiglia. With a little planning, you can use the local bus for 1.50 to travel into Ventimiglia. We hiked, dined and relaxed in this beautiful historical village. Michele and his wife were awesome hosts. Highly recommended. Must be willing to walk on steep cobblestone passageways.
Location is perfect! It is only 10-15 mins walk to Apricale and it has the best view of Apricale from the car park. Parking is free and ample which is always a big perk in Italy! The room was large and clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is great value for money. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs and it was phenomenal!! highly recommended (even if you’re not staying here). One of the best meals of the trip.
This is the most amazing hotel, together with the most amazing owners and staff, it is seriously good, the hotel is finished to wonderful standards and with impeccable taste, the breakfast is amazing, the views take your breath away. The owners also own a Resturant just up the road, this is also amazing..
We will be going back for sure...
Thank you to Aldo, his wife and all the staff, a truly amazing stay at your beautiful hotel.
Although the hotel is next to a main thoroughfare, the rooms face the back of the hotel overlooking the valley, and it is very quiet. Aldo is an amazingly personable owner who makes you feel like family upon meeting him. The smell of fresh croissants baking in the morning was irresistible! We will stay again whenever we are in the area!
Perfect location with a fantastic view over Apricale and valleys. The photos on Bookings.com really does not do it justice! Proper coffee, delicious chocolate cookies and other treats was unexpected. Thank you for sharing this magical place with us Carol! Can highly recommend it.
It is such a special experience! The hotel is situated in a medieval mountain village with mostly stone houses and pavements. The view is amazing. It may be a bit difficult to reach and one has to climb a bit to reach one's room with the luggage but it is totally worth it!
Apricale is a wonderful place and it was good to stay right in the centre, in a barrel vaulted room, down steep stairs, but with a fantastic view of the valley below. The bedroom and bed were very good and totally quiet.
Beautiful Village. The rooms are in apartments dotted in the village all with their own unique charm. The staff were super helpful and the breakfast was lovely. Apricale is a special place to see.
lovely house located in the center of the village, all renovated, very well equiped and decorated, quiet, beautiful view, perfect for discovering Apricale and the surroundings
