Lovely host and home. We stayed here as a big family on our way to Geneva from Italy. Since we were traveling late, we gave them a heads up on checking in late. The host and hostess were both awake and waited to receive us. The room on the ground floor had disability/elderly friendly features, which came in handy for our grandma. They had many towels as well. No AC. They have a lovely grape and kiwi vine growing, under which we had coffee. We could not have breakfast since we had to start early. Kids loved the swing as well.

Hotel Gardenia is only 3.1 mi from the historic center of Ivrea, and offers free private parking, a mountain-view fitness center, and free Wi-Fi. The bus from Romano Canavese to Ivrea stops nearby.

We were delayed by the ferry from Greece being 7 hours late leaving about 4 hours to drive over 500km to arrive by 2300. Contacted the hotel. No problem someone here until 0100 and if that’s a problem we can give you the door codes etc. Arrived at 0130 as there was a 35 minute delay on the autostrada due to an accident. Codes worked. Key on reception desk. Information about breakfast already sent. Cold water in the fridge. A good end to a rather fraught day. Hotel was comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Definitely stay again. Staff really helpful.

The hotel is nicely located with great views to the small lake. The breakfast buffet met all our needs. The a la carte Dinner offers great selection of delicious menus. The (not heated) pool is great and large enough for "real" swimming. Last but not least there is plenty of parking space on the property.
