Indeed, everything was perfect. We stayed in a junior suite, which was clean, lovely, and well-appointed with a living area and a very comfortable bed. The layout of the establishment was unique and very pretty, as each room has a private entrance into a pretty courtyard. Gian, Noemi, and all their staff were all friendly, and kind. We highly recommend.

Very quiet location with internal parking space. The room was cleverly organized to get the most out of it and with modern design. The new aircon system was a blessing to endure the heat of Basilicata. The shower was also terrific, great water pressure to wash away sand, suncream, and stress. Luca was a fantastic host, with a great knowledge of the surrounding areas and hidden locations. The breakfast was delightful, 2/3 types of filled cornetti, cakes, juices, coffee, etc.. the top. The closest sea is in Metaponto, which is approx 20 min away with the car, at 5 a convenient grocery store (SpeSí).

Lovely countryside house, clean, easy accessible by car, comfortable. Only 12min drive from the beach.
Hosts are very kind and open family, they live in the house next door and make sure you feel like home. Everything is thought of: from bathroom supplies to cold drinks in the fridge.
Separate treasure of the place is the scenery outside the house: fields of melons, garden of lemon and orange trees, flowers, very charming and calm to walk around, enjoy the sunset🌅 and have good night sleep.
The host family also have animals: outside the house you will have a pleasure to see horses, turtles, cats.
The place is perfect to have break from big city life 🌟
I loved it and highly recommend!

Amazing apartment in the historic center of the town. Clean, cozy, every detail is carefully thought through. In the apartment you will find everything you might need and much more.
Hosts are very friendly and supportive. It was our best stay in South Italy and we highly recommend this place!

Bernalda has a castle, and a small historic center, but for tourists it may also be known as the birthplace of Francis Ford Coppola's grandparents. Mr. Coppola has renovated an old palazzo and turned it into an exclusive hotel. In fact, it is so exclusive, that it looks like it is out of business from the outside with the exception of the one cafe on the street that presents itself very tastefully with headshots of actors decorating the walls.
It can work as a base to tour Matera, or to visit other archeological sites of Magna Grecia (greek ruins) in Metaponto on the coast just 10 miles away, Metaponto, the site of the ruins was where Pythagoras lived until his death. There were a number of restaurants, but during the off season, the town is a bit sleepy, but was a nice place to stop for the night when driving from the Amalfi Coast to Lecce in Puglia. It offers a chance to see a more normal non-touristed area of Italy which is a welcome change from the crush of Amalfi.
A wonderful one bedroom apartment, 100m from the main street of Bernalda. You can park your car 2 meters from the apartment entrance. The furniture and fixtures were brand new and well chosen. In the living room there was a well-equipped kitchenette with stove, fridge, coffee machine and electric kettle. Wi-Fi internet is OK. The host is kind and friendly. I recommend this property.
It is clear that a lot of thought has been put into every detail at Borgo San Gaetano. The rooms and gardens are aesthetically pleasing and cozy at the same time. The breakfast was a generous spread of delicious local dishes both sweet and savoury. Everyone working at Borgo San Gaetano made us feel very welcome. We hope to return and recommend it to anyone visiting Bernalda!
This is a beautiful location on the outskirts of Bernalda. Within easy reach of the historic sights at Matera, museum Policoro, Metaponto, Gravina and Altamura. Within walking distance of the town with a variety of places to eat. The hotel is a gem with its own swimming pool. Staff were delightfuland helpful, room was clean and breakfast excellent.
The most perfect apartment. Huge, luxuriously furnished, with several terraces. You feel like in a 5 star hotel. It has everything you need. The hosts are extremely kind and concerned about the customers. Very good people. Thank you very much for all. :)
This is a charming hotel located in an old olive-oil mill. The rooms are lovely with high ceilings and are quite spacious. The bathroom is equally charming. The breakfast was delicious with a large selection of local foods and baked goods.
Everything was tastefully done and every detail for a comfortable stay was thought out by the host , Beautiful minimalist style made it feel like a 5 star hotel and not someones house .Simply Beautiful !
