The owners are amazing - very friendly, warm & helpful - the weather during our visit was a bit chilly, we were supplied with a heater without having to ask for it; Ernesta made sure we have everything we need to feel like home :) From the balcony of our room we could see both the lake and the mountains, and you can enjoy the same views while eating at their restaurant, too. Food for dinners was fresh & delicious (gnocci, ravioli, lasagna, steak), breakfasts were also very good. There was space to leave the car in front of the place - very convenient.

We loved this boutique hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. So friendly that we chose to eat dinner here 3 out of 4 nights. The views from the restaurant for dinner and breakfast can’t be beat and the food was delicious. Our room had a phenomenal view that I could not find anywhere else at this price point. We were hesitant to stay in Bellano because it is a “small” village, but the train to Varenna was frequent and easy to use. Varenna was also overrun by tourists and Bellano was quiet, peaceful, and had plenty of shopping and dining options. We would absolutely return to Meridiana!

Beautiful property on a quieter part of the lake. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was a huge value.
