From the station one cannot get to the B&B without transport ( taxi €15) but once there, despite the owner Carlo living off-site, he was willing to drop us wherever we needed to be in the town. Our room had a double and a single bed (we were a couple) and was spacious and comfortable with good cupboard space and a comfortable bed. The B&B is in a beautiful rural setting and had a balcony with a wonderful view of Monte Cassino. We had some trouble with getting hot water for the shower but Carlo had apparently had plumbers addressing the issue. Breakfasts were varied and plentiful and the coffee was good. Besides running the B&B, Carlo has a keen interest in the local history and also restores vintage cars which was interesting to see stored in various spaces on the grounds. We went for a lovely walk in the surrounding area one evening which we really enjoyed and the day we left Carlo kindly gave us a bottle of wine made by his cousin who makes wine in the area.
